“Bubble?” Fanny’s voice echoed through the bathroom. A few minutes passed, quiet sobs breaking the silence occasionally. Fanny called out again, voice louder. “Bubble?” A stall door creaked open after a moment. “Y-yeah, Fanny?” Bubble sniffled, voice quavering. Uninvited, Fanny sauntered in, that usual pissed expression on her face. She plopped down beside Bubble, not too close, but enough to comfort her crying teammate. “I really, really hate when Match bullies you,” Fanny growled angrily. “She can’t just walk all over you like that.” Bubble didn’t respond, but Fanny kept talking anyway. “You’re a good person. Match is just a jerk. Believe me, I was stuck in the LOL with her for years, and I know how mean she can be.” Bubble looked over, but still didn’t say a word. “I hate the alliance,” Fanny continued. “I HATE these stupid rules that Match put in place- they’re useless! And remember BFB 8? HER yelling almost caused us to LOSE!” She paused to let Bubble speak. “I’m happy you…c-care this much about me,” Bubble finally said. “Everyone else just…” “Just what?” Fanny prodded, starting to smile. “They just stand by while Match pushes me around. It’s hurtful, and I…I…” “You HATE IT?” “Maybe,” Bubble laughed, wiping the tears from her eyes. The knowledge that someone on the team actually noticed Match’s bullying and wanted to do something about it made her feel stronger. Especially since Fanny was getting angry on Bubble’s behalf. Fanny scooted closer, making Bubble blush a little. “Pssh, nah. You know you hate it! Don’t let that fear of her hold you back! Let it all out!” “I…hate it?” “Say it louder!” “I hate it!” “LOUDER! The world’s gotta hear you yell!” “I HATE IT!” “I HATE IT TOO!” Bubble, laughing, hugged Fanny. “Thanks, Fanny. That helped a lot.” Fanny was taken aback for a moment before she recovered and laughed along with her friend. “Wanna go...scream at the sunset? Together?” Bubble asked. Fanny looked away before Bubble noticed her huge grin. “I…guess I wouldn’t hate that,” she stammered, blushing. “Well, then, what are we waiting for? Let’s go!”
