ongoing and past lore will be displayed here, think of it as a travel log/guidebook ^^ Table of contents: {1: Prelude/The Beginning} {2: What is Ongoing} {3: Relationships ( in n+c )} {4: Misc/Research} ——————— {The Beginning/Prelude} This took place before the happenings of Creekwood, when Requiem was…there, I guess. In the beginning, there was an entity. This entity did not belong to the Heavens above nor the Infernal Depths ( bc there’s no way I’m being cancelled for one word ) below. But they always were looking up, to the Angels flying above, with awe, almost. With reverence. It wanted to be Them. But once they finally found the courage to try and visit…everything went to flames..almost literally. Instead of being greeted with slight wariness, as usual..they were greeted with outright hostility. Accused of trying to taint their “Purified” blood, the verdict was worse than death. ‘ ‘ Harken, thankless beast, For daring to gaze upon our divine visage, sight will no longer aid you.‘ ‘ The angels conjured divine flames, and— ( some pages of this notebook seem to have been obscured… ) … Upon falling once more, wound festering in their chest, they lay there for a long time. Centuries passed, it only seemed like days. A long time, until a demon found them. Woke them back up, exchanged formalities. He introduced himself as Silicon. A friendship, so-call it, was made that day. But the years haven’t been as kind to them. They had forgotten some things, vowed to meet again..then one day he disappeared. A sorry shame. Their visage morphed, shaped to fit the wings they’d ripped off of the one that deserved it. They took an almost ethereal mantle, mocking the ones that had previously shunned them. They believed everything deserved to rot, and there were only a choice few that would earn their respect. So, the Hand of Finality was born. {2. The Present} This takes place when Requiem arrives in Creekwood Clinic, and what ensues afterwards. Requiem had long since gotten used to the absence of sight, awakening their other senses to the marvels of the magnetic field. ( think how bees navigate ) Buried everything, put things behind them. Never spoke unless needed. Dried into a deceitful, bitter husk. Taking joy in watching others befall the same anguish they did. After a quick beginning exchange with the Doctor, who piqued their interest, they roamed the halls, cleaning meticulously. Almost as if they thought anything dirty was evidence of their own tainted gains…. They also met L.A.N.C.E.R, a surprisingly self-aware robot. This made them slightly attuned to further interactions. Then, they reunited with Him once more, through a surprising medium. He was as charming as always, yet their memories of him were still fuzzy…

The key feature of this is that the subject feels a violation of their basic beliefs. The emotional wound festers over time, leading to a chronic case of embitterment. Core symptoms include but not limited to: - Persistent embitterment: Chronic feelings of bitterness, anger, and resentment - Intrusive thoughts: Constant ruminations about the injustice suffered - Emotional dysregulation: Irritability, aggression, or emotional outbursts - Helplessness or hopelessness: Feeling that nothing can repair the damage - Desire for revenge: Preoccupation with punishing or exposing the wrongdoer - Social withdrawal: Isolation due to mistrust or shame - Reduced quality of life: Decline in personal, social, and occupational functioning ——————— Requiem bears the brunt of a desire for revenge, paired with persistent embitterment. They tend to push these feelings down whenever they are around staff or patients, but take their anger out on hunting. The true visage that appears when hunting is their unbridled self, taking out all their feelings in the thrill of the hunt. When something reminds them of anything that happened to them in the past, they try to forget any pretense of the event, rendering them unresponsive for a while, or resorting to digging their (very sharp) claws into something..anything. They also possess the uncontrolled fear of being alone, or being left behind.
