Waffle Playhouse was bought back "by popular demand" on January 28, 2012, restoring the history of their original counterpart that had shut down three years earlier, and continued to use the 1954 logo until they shut down on November 7, 2016 due to lack of funds despite high respect from critics, with their final production being "Waffle's Final Farewell". If they had funds sufficient enough to continue producing movies and TV shows, they'd more likely than not still be in business.
