I've just been told by a friend of mine, that scratch is training ai on projects on the website. That is INCREDIBLY messed up. They are using CHILDREN'S art, CHILDREN'S work, CHILDREN'S INFORMATION, to train AI. THAT IS HORRIBLE. And we shouldn't just sit by and let it happen, I know i'm not the first, and I know this is a feeble attempt, but if EVERYONE genuinely starts spreading the word, we can get somewhere with this. I've mostly stayed quiet when it comes to the discussion of ai, simply because the mere concept of it has genuinely been affecting my mental health. but i will NOT stand for this. Art, and, well, EVERYTHING, is meant to be made by HUMANS. We're losing the point. We've survived THOUSANDS of years without it, we don't need it now. And don't you even DARE use any kind of stupid excuse like "Oh! I don't know how to draw tho!!!" or "My art is really bad!!" GUESS WHAT? NO ONE STARTS OFF KNOWING HOW TO DRAW!!! These are the words from @Sundrop-Real1275 and he's right. Art has been around since cavemen made cave paintings. Not only that, a CHILD'S work- no- EVERY CHILD'S works are being used for training AI! That's completely messed up! Who takes a CHILD'S INFO to train some robot. Like, are you kidding me? Not only that, people do say that they are bad at art. Well, guess what? The art I made during covid SUCKED! I do so much better now because I PRACTICED! I mean look at the project! Press space. The first one is an artwork from covid. (and it's CRINGE QvQ) The second one is my most recent finished work. (Much better now) People's works, including- no- ESPECIALLY children's works, shouldn't be used to train a robot without actual permission.
