Subject Designation: "Grit" Full Name: Unit 0-265 Role: Former Security Enforcer / Lab Escapee ### Backstory Grit wasn't always this way. Originally part of a high-stakes biological experiment to create a tireless "Undead Guard," the process was interrupted by a containment breach. Grit was left partially reanimated with a mix of cybernetic enhancements and decaying organic matter. Rather than being "perfected," Grit became a glitch in the system. He took a discarded researcher's scarf—stained with various chemical spills that created the rainbow pattern—and fought his way out of the lower levels. Now, he haunts the ventilation shafts and abandoned wings of the lab, acting as a mercenary for other test subjects looking to escape. ### Attributes & Abilities The Crimson Optic: His left eye is a high-tech scanner. It can see heat signatures through walls and detect chemical leaks before they become dangerous. Corrosive Bite: Due to the experimental serum used on his jaw, his teeth are coated in a neon-green acidic enzyme. He can bite through metal cables and reinforced doors. The Scarf of Many Colors: More than just an accessory, the scarf is soaked in neutralized toxins, acting as a primitive gas mask when he pulls it over his face. ### Personality Silent but Observant: Grit rarely speaks, as his jaw mechanics are stiff. He communicates through nods and low, rattling growls. Protective: He has a soft spot for the "weaker" experiments and often leaves supplies or scrap metal near their cells. Cynical: He doesn't believe in "freedom," only in staying alive for one more day inside the facility.
