the early morning sun shines light onto the water, making it sparkle a bright shade of aquamarine. it’s a beautiful contrast to the warm colors of the sunrise, such a picturesque look, like a work of art painted by nature. cool waves crash against the shore, washing over the sand before retreating into their home once more. seashells litter the beach, no two alike in size, color or shape. each one is as unique as the stars in the sky, the grains of sand on this very beach, and the snowflakes that are only seen hundreds of miles away in cooler climates. the water is serenely calm today, smooth sailing for anyone who wishes to try their luck with the many fish that take up residence in the reefs below the surface. some are destined to meet the wrong end of a fishing pole, but sometimes that’s the way life goes. there’s a small sandcastle sitting about 20 feet away from the shoreline, unfinished but with great potential. every now and then, a larger wave will threaten to tear it down, but it stays standing. seemingly unbreakable, like the ocean itself. wind blows a few small pieces of seaweed closer to the cement biker path, the only other manmade thing on the entire beach. everything else sits, untouched, as nature intended it.
here's my entry!! it's kind of a two-part; the banner and the writing part in the instructions ↑
