Welcome to the Sonic Character/OC Maker! I've decided to share this today, on June 23rd, because it is Sonic's birthday (aka the day the original Sonic The Hedgehog game was released). Many of you playing this project are likely either fans or have been inspired by the comics/games/shows/movies, so what better way to celebrate than creating your own Sonic inspired character! Let's get started. I've created instruction categories for easy instruction navigation. These include: - Blue Buttons > What do they do? - Red Buttons > What do they do? - How to Save > Explaining options on how to save your character. - Inventory > What type of characters you can create and about some of the items. >>Blue Buttons<< These are the buttons you can use to change all sorts of things about your character, such as the body, the face, and the clothes. You can also change the background. (You can change/adjust all options by using the sliders.) Specifically, there are eight blue buttons. I will explain each here: - Body > Here you can change the body and head shape, color, and brightness. You can also can the fur type, color, and brightness. - Body 2 > Here you can change the arm color and brightness. You also have the option to add a tail. Finally, you can add quill tips and adjust its color and brightness. - Body 3 > Here you can change the leg color and brightness. You can add wings or another back item, and change the color and brightness. Additionally, you can add two accessories using the 'other' sliders. (Note: Depending on which head/mouth you use, some of these options may not work right with the character you are making.) - Face > Here you can change the mouth shape, the skin color and brightness, and the smile. - Face 2 > Here you can change the eyes and adjust the colors and brightnesses accordingly. - Clothes > Here is where you can customize the clothing. Specifically, here, you can change the top and bottom clothes your character wears. You can also adjust the color and brightness of the two. - Clothes (2) > Here, you can change the gloves and the shoes your character wears. You, once again, can change the color and brightness. - Background > Here you can change the background. You can have a plain background or add some friends! >>Red Buttons<< These are the buttons you can use to randomize your character. (CAUTION: This means your character will be changed automatically! If you would like to save your character, please read the 'how to save' section in the instructions.) In total, there are four red buttons. - Random Body > This will randomize all options under the blue 'body' buttons. - Random Face > This will randomize all options under the blue 'face' buttons. - Random Clothes > This will randomize all options under the blue 'clothes' buttons. - Random All > This will randomize all options under the blue buttons (with exception to the background). >>How to Save<< Once you finish making your character and you want to save it, you can use the purple buttons to do so. There are two ways to save. You can either take a screenshot/snapshot of your character or you can use the save and load code. - Taking a Screenshot/Snapshot > To do this, click the purple button labeled 'hide'. This will hide all the buttons (Except the 'show' button) so that you can take a picture of your character. Once you finish, click the 'show' button so that the buttons reappear. - Save and Load Codes > After making your character, click the 'save' button. On the bottom of the screen, a save code will generate. It is long, so in order to save all of it, you will need to double click on the code until it is entirely highlighted. Copy the code to your computer/clipboard. Next, click the 'X' button. Now, you have a saved character code. Once you want to load your character, click the 'load' button. Then, paste the code into the text box and enter it. Your character should appear! >>Inventory<< Types of characters you can create: - Hedgehogs - Echidnas - Foxes - Bats - Chameleons - Cats - Birds - Rabbits - And more! (You can even attempt to make existing characters, like Sonic, Shadow, Jet, Amy, Blaze, Silver, etc.) Other Accessories: These are found under the blue 'body 3' button and there are many options such as: - Glasses - Sunglasses - Hats - Horns - Chaos Emeralds - Necklaces - And more! (Including the millennium puzzle from Yu-Gi-Oh!) Tops aka. Shirts: There are many options, including: - Jackets - Suits - Flannels - T-shirts - Hoodies - Sonic Graphic Tees - And more! (Including outfits inspired by Ladybug and Cat Noir.) That's about it. Have fun! Create as many as you'd like, and feel free to share the save code in the comments so I can check them out!
