A note about "Day" and "Night:" At the end of the chapter, April is faced with a decision. The choice she makes basically determines everything else. I love both versions too much to only do one, so I will post both here! One outcome is "Day" and the other is "Night." You can read both or one, it's up to you! This prologue is part of both.
