**✿❀ Chapter 2 ❀✿** Nora wanted to try and catch a glimpse of that boy, to see if it really was who she thought, but the crowd of students was far too thick, and Nora wasn't very tall which made it difficult to see past the bobbing heads. Just then, Nora had collided with a round-faced, anxious looking first year, he stumbled over and Nora offered him a hand. "So sorry," She said as she helped him up. He looked at her for a moment before asking, "Have you seen a toad by any chance?" Nora shook her head. "Afraid not," He turned and rushed down the tight corridor frantically. "Neville? Neville!" Called a first year girl, she had bushy brown hair and rather large front teeth. "That boy just ran down there," Nora told the girl, who clicked her tongue impatiently and walked through the mob. Nora headed up farther in the train, she needed to get to the Prefects' cabin up front, she was very happy she had been chosen as one of the two Slytherin Prefects', but that meant should would have to sit separate from Dakota, her best friend since her first year. Once she made it to a door, she slid it open and pulled her trunk through and slid it shut behind her. This cabin was much quieter and emptier. Nora looked around for an empty seat, she shoved her trunk up in the compartment and sat down, trying to neaten up her hair a bit more before they arrived. She glanced around to see who the other Prefects were this year. For Ravenclaw was Steven Olk and Esme Kroe. For Hufflepuff was Grayson Sodeck and Tinsley Frett. For Gryffindor was Percy Weasley and Della Peters, Della caught Nora's eye, she was the twin of Dakota, though they looked nothing alike, whatsoever. And finally for Slytherin was Nora herself, and someone who she was quite surprised that had made it to be a Prefect, Jeremy Selwyn. Jeremy was an odd character, one moment he would be blowing up the greenhouses, the next he'd be snitching on others for doing the same, then the next he'd be getting awful grades but the next day get a perfect score on a test. when Jeremy had spotted Nora, he smirked and came over to sit next to her, she slid down slightly to keep distance. "Boring lot, huh?" He said looking around the cabin. Nora gave him a side-eye, she knew exactly where this was going to lead. "Whatever it is you're planning in that twisted mind of yours, stop it. The last thing I need is nonsense." Nora said with her eyebrows raised slightly and her chin up. Jeremy imitated her attitude perfectly. "I'm Nory, I haven't any time for nonsense because I'm a perfect little Prefect and my life is perfect and I can't have you ruining it." He teased. Nora gave him and meaningful death stare. "New year, but same old immature Jeremy." She said, "And haven't I told you not to call me that?" "Call you what? Nory?" Nora closed her eyes softly and took a deep breath to control herself. Her blood boiling. "Please, do not call me Nory, if you wish to talk to me, address me by my name, Nora." She gritted through her teeth. And for the next two hours, Jeremy continued to torment Nora. And at last someone had noticed, Della, she called Nora over to come and play a game of wizard chess with her, and this was a relief. Nora and Della weren't too close of friends like Nora and Dakota, but they got on well enough, Nora asked Della how she and Dakota's summer holidays were, and Della asked about Nora's. Once Percy Weasley had informed them all that they were to be arriving in about twenty minutes, they slipped on their robes over their clothes and Nora went back to her seat, thankfully, Jeremy had drifted off to sleep sitting up. Nora liked to stay near to her trunk ever since her third year, when someone had mistaken it for their own and it somehow ended up floating in the Black Lake. When the train began to slow down, Jeremy's head slid off the head rest and over onto Nora's shoulder, but Nora slid over swiftly before it could and he ended up smacking his head on the bench, he woke up with a start and once he saw each of them were in their robes he hurriedly slipped his own on.
The Prefects stepped off the train to see Hogsmeade station, Nora smiled at the sight of it, she now remembered how much she really missed Hogwarts. Nora and the Prefects rounded up first years and separated them from the rest of the students as the Games Keeper, Rubeus Hagrid, bellowed, "Firs' years! Firs' years with me please!" Nora guided some stragglers back in the direction of him. "NORA KRISLEY WESSTON!" Cried a familiar voice, Nora turned to see Dakota hurling towards her, she almost ran her over and hugged her tightly. She still looked the same as Nora remembered; short-ish brown wavy hair and fierce and energetic dark eyes. Dakota jumped up and down as she hugged her and Nora had to pull away if the hug was ever to end. "I need to go with the Prefects-yes, I am a Prefect," Nora said proudly. Dakota raised her eyebrows. "Wow....So you're going to be a stick in the mud more than ever now?" Dakota teased, Nora rolled her eyes and bid her farewell until they would meet again, whether it was their first class or during meals.
