Hello!!! I'm Aichi/Judai/Myst, my pronouns are they/them, I am 14 years old, and my timezone is BST/GMT. I have been an on-and-off member of the hive since 2021. I try to be online and active as often as possible, but I will not be able to be active between 8:30am and 2:45pm on weekdays, as that is when I have school. As far as I know, the school year will finish around mid-July. ~ So why would I be a good manager? Despite my current status as a curator, I try my best to enforce the rules as much as possible. I also try to help out the managers whenever they need it, along with the curators whenever they need positivity, are venting, or simply don't understand a rule. I try my best to take a calm, unbiased approach to conflicts, even if it's difficult to do so, and I'm getting better at knowing when to intervene and when to stay quiet. Sometimes, a curator will unknowingly break a rule and wonder what they did wrong. I always explain the rule, it's significance, and, with trigger warnings, how and why the content could trigger someone. ~ Downsides - Despite what I've previously mentioned about trying to take a calm approach to conflict, sometimes I may end up lashing out on somebody. I do try to solve things if I do and it's a relatively rare occurence nowadays, but it's still something to take into consideration. - My activity may end up being spotty at times. - I am not the best at confrontation or arguing with people if things get heated. In terms of rule breakage, I might overreact or get some things wrong. I'm still learning!! ~ What makes me different? I've been a member of the hive for a long time, as previously stated, and I'd say I'm somewhat persistent when it comes to rules, even when it seems like a 'valid' time to break them. I'm also close friends with a few of the managers, making communication much easier. I'll also try make all of my host shifts unique and memorable!! ~ What would I improve? My main issue with the Gaehive is transparency and understanding with the rules. Yes, Brook's rules in depth project is wonderful and does its job perfectly, but there are things not mentioned and maybe even some loopholes that managers have not noticed. I want to solve these transparencies and also add some added explanations in the main rules, whether they are in the rules in depth project or not. I also want to encourage more curator participation in rule enforcement, as the managers can only do so much and there's only so many. ~ So what does a manager have to do? Obviously, they have to handle rules, timeouts, host shifts, etc. But they also have to handle figuring out who is a troll and who isn't, whether a rule breakage was intentional or not, and harassment from curators. Being a manager would require maturity and the ability to stay calm under pressure. ~ My recommendations: 1. Samael/Sam () Samael would be a great manager in my opinion. Not only is he active and mature, but he also handles conflict well and he seems to have a good understanding of the rules and how to enforce them. He also has a small but notable amount of experiencing managing GWDFI. 2. Squirt () Just like Sam, he is active, mature, and great at handling conflict. Something about him that stands out, however, is his activity in discusshive. He always has a good argument when against a suggestion, and something to add when he is for a suggestion. 3. Lia/Izar () [yet to write in detail, but theyre a great member and really mature.] As more people write their applications, this list will likely grow. I wish all the other candidates the best of luck!!! Songs (not in the right order unless you get really lucky): 1. Clash! Dynamite Battle! - NORISTRY 2. Ego Renegade Boy - FLAVOR FOLEY 3. In Sunder - Sub Urban 4. Buddy Buddy Fight! - Paruko Nanana (CV: Sora Tokui) 5. Tenkai - ARTIST (im not sure about this one, it's tenkai knights' English opening.)
