Read the Instructions to play: You probably scanned or typed in this code on the back of a Critter Chaos pack, so what you are probably looking for is how to play this game, and I refuse to disappoint. Deck Rules A deck must contain exactly 30 cards. You may use any number of copies of any card. If you run out of cards, you can continue the game. Match Start Both players place their decks face down. Play rock paper scissors, best of three. Winner goes first. Opening Hand Draw 5 cards. If you draw no normal critters, shuffle your hand back into your deck and your opponent draws one extra card. This also applies if you draw only beast modes or multiple beast modes. At the start of your turn, draw one card, except when it’s your first turn of the battle. The second player also draws 5 cards. Playing Critters You may place up to 5 critters in a row in front of you. Stats Each critter has ATK, HP, DEF, and SPD. Attacking A critter must have its required item attached to attack. When attacking, subtract the defender’s DEF from your ATK. The remainder is dealt to HP. If ATK is less than or equal to DEF, you deal 0 damage. If your SPD is higher than the enemy’s SPD, you deal double damage for that attack. Defeated Critters When a normal critter is defeated, you gain 2 X’s. When a beast mode is defeated, you gain 4 X’s. If you reach 12 X’s, you lose the game. Beast Modes You cannot play a beast mode immediately. The normal critter must be on your field for 4 of your turns, unless you use something for it. The beast mode’s lore box must match the critter. Place the beast mode on top of the normal critter. After six of your turns with the beast mode, discard the beast mode and keep the normal critter. You gain no X’s when a beast mode expires naturally. Potions When you play a potion, it affects the entire battlefield. A potion lasts for 5 of your turns and 5 of your opponent’s turns. After that, discard the potion.
Credit to my somehow long lasting sanity at making this card game. My experience, for all that has happened. One man show. Thank you so much for trying Critter Chaos. Read the instructions if you are a non-visual learner, but if your brain breaks, read the instructions on the project, super compressed. ( And thanks to my sanity.
