I worked pretty hard on this game, so I hope you enjoy it. I coded this in about two weeks, mostly during school in ELA class, after I had done all my work, of course. ;) Anyway, likes, favorites and follows are very appreciated. Also, the instructions are kind of long, so unless you want to read the long yapping, I recommend just reading the controls part of it. :D __________________CONTROLS__________________ • Right and left arrow keys or A and D to move • You can move all the way off the edge of the screen to move quickly to the opposite side • Steer away from the Keese enemies • Refill your stamina wheel by collecting the flying restless crickets _________GRAPHICS QUALITY WARNING_________ A big part of this game is rendered using the pen extension, so some of the graphics might look a little fuzzy. __________________DEV NOTES_________________ I learned a lot of cool coding tricks while making this, as well as basic sound design skills, here's a list of some of the hardest challenges of making this game: 1. Stamina wheel - This was really hard to figure out, but after messing around a bit and experimenting with the pen tool, I figured out a system that works really well. 2. Sound design - Merging several sounds together as well as fiddling with all of the volumes and making sure it actually sounded good proved pretty difficult but I'm proud of the end results. 3. Weather systems - Determining all the random spawn rates of clouds and rain drops and wind gusts was a little tricky but I think it ended up looking really cool. ___________________CREDITS__________________ In case for some reason you couldn't already guess, or you have never played a LOZ game, this is inspired by one of my favorite games of all time, the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. BotW was developed by and belongs to Nintendo. (Please don't sue me Nintendo) All the code and gameplay was made by me (I didn't even watch a tutorial for this project, which is a first for me, at least with big games like this :D) The sprite for Link was inspired by the art style of this project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/936028916 which is a really awesome TotK game that you should go check out. It's made by @FunnyAnimatorJimTV The awesome Purah sprite was made by the very talented user: but other than that all art was made by me. The sound effects in this project are a combination of sound effects directly from BotW and royalty free sound effects from pixabay.com I think that's all, if you can, please comment any suggestions or bugs/glitches. Thanks for playing! ____________________TAGS_____________________ of the cuccos' legend of Zelda engine of the cuccos' legend of Zelda engine of the cuccos' legend of Zelda engine of the cuccos' legend of Zelda engine of the cuccos' legend of Zelda engine
