name: Betta pronouns: any pronouns, prefers they/them edgy backstory cuz I can: Betta never really had parents. They were abandoned, left behind on the doorstep of the Skywing nursery. They were not only a Seawing-Skywing hybrid, but neurodivergent, and they had a very hard time making friends. Betta learned quickly that being themself made things harder. So they adapted. They studied the others, how they spoke, how they laughed, when they were supposed to react. They built a version of themself that fit better. Less hesitation. More confidence. Fewer “weird” questions. Controlled reactions. They become part of a 4-dragon friend group, who split up once the dragonets go to Jade Mountain Academy. (note, this is a decade in the future after the end of the third arc, Jade is an established school with much, much more winglets, 20 winglets to be exact) Except for Tornado. Betta and Tornado have been very good friends since they were three. They are in the same winglet, Amber Winglet, one of the newer ones. Betta at this point has become very emotionally attached to Tornado, and feelings begin to develop. Betta had no idea how to deal with these feelings, and tries to bury them as they did with their neurodivergence... to no avail.
