The young feline couldn't sleep. Her siblings moved so much in their sleep that he began to wonder if one could gain muscles through that. She silently stepped out of their nest and looked back only to see them snoring and drooling in their sleep. Did he look like that too? Fidgetkit looked around the dark den. Maybe she could find something to play with. But he spotted something even better. A tiny hole in the roof of the nursery! She headed over to the nest right under that little hole. Luckily it looked like it wasn't currently in use. Fudge climbed on top of it and looked up. He could see tiny white lights twinkling in between the darkness. They were brighter than fireflies but much smaller. The kit reached out with one paw and tried to touch them. It didn't work and she shook his head. She needed to be much higher up! He looked around again and spotted a nearby branch that one of her den mates must have brought in. It looked stable enough to carry his small weight. He buried her tiny teeth in the bark and began dragging it to his watching spot. It was very difficult and Fifi's teeth hurt but in the end she did it. He carefully climbed on top. When she was finally so high up that he could touch the roof she sticked his head into the hole and out into the night. Cold leafbare winds met her and made him almost go inside again but she continued. And then he was on the nursery's roof (well Fudge's front half only). Fidgetkit didn't look around because there wasn't much too see in the darkness but because the sky was much bigger now. She could spot thousands of tiny lights. He was standing on her toes now and still balanced to not fall down. The lights sparkled above while he thought about who had put them up there. She stood there looking at the sky for minutes. There was so much to see! But then the branch below cracked and snapped and the kit's claws lost their grip. Fudge tried to grasp anything while falling and falling. Finally he landed on the branch's remains. Pain spread from her left middle paw. He took a closer look at it and sighed in relief. It was just a tiny bruise. Silently Fidgetkit apologised to the branch and walked back to her nest. And while he fell asleep she thought about the night sky again. Would she be able to fly up there someday? Fidgetkit didn't know that 65 years ago a brave twoleg had achieved what no-one had before... Exactly 65 years ago Juri (Yuri...) Gagarin, a Russian astronaut, flew up into space as the first person ever. Since then the 12th of April is being celebrated :D I decided to write a quick self roleplay of Fidgetspinnerkit in honor of the achievements that were made 65 years ago. I hope you have a nice day!! Remember to stay hydrated and touch some grass!!
