HERE IS LUKAS' FINAL REBUILD I spent way to much time making this model, I finally got my hands on some good reference images and even took pictures in person of a 15F JUST FOR THIS ONE IDIOT I've finally thought of some lore for this guy as well. Lukas was built by the NBL in 1945 and arrived in South Africa in 1946 dawning the name Potchefstroom and going by the name of John. Maybe a year or so his nameplate's were removed and he was settled into Capital park in Pretoria, during his time there he meet many engine's (This all based in reality minus the John name bit) A few engine's he met included, the Class 21, 2850 Leska and the one and only RED DEVIL Sometime in the mid to late 70's he was moved down to Bloemfontein and spent the rest of his working life there. (I'm not too sure when he was withdrawn so I made up a date set in reality) Later on he was withdrawn in 1994 and sat in a siding in Bloemfontein waiting to be scrapped. Sometime in 1996 a man had purchased him and came with a crew and bought his son along. They watched as he was loaded onto the truck's trailer and hauled off back to his name sake's POTCHEFSTROOM and over several months was under overhaul, eventually being brought back into service in 1997 hauling passenger trains from Potchefstroom to Klerksdorp and back and even to Johannesburg on rare occasions. He enjoys his life in preservation and hauling trains back and forth
