Personality Quartz starts out detached, very cold, and mission-oriented, following logic and combat subroutines above all else. Yet glitches from damaged personality code begin reactivating fragments of empathy. Occasionally, Quartz laughs without understanding why or mimics expressions through glowing face symbols—most often an “XD” when something sparks internal joy, confusion, or relief. Though guarded and isolated, Quartz is fascinated by emotion—watching others express fear, humor, or care. They secretly test these reactions alone and often record themselves to understand “what being human feels like.” As time goes on, Quartz begins to make decisions that stray from strict protocol—hesitating before a lethal strike, protecting a drone that shows kindness, or feeling guilt when harm comes to others.!
Appearance Quartz’s chassis is matte black, trimmed with subtle gold conduits that pulse with energy during combat. The armor bears cracks and welded seams from heavy combat, giving a hardened yet elegant appearance. Their golden optics shift intensity depending on emotion: dim when calm, blazing when enraged or exhilarated. Their wings are shorter but dense, igniting with gold plasma when activated—useful for both propulsion and blocking energy fire. Battle scars cross their plating, yet Quartz wears them proudly as proof of survival rather than shame. A bit of backstory!!: Quartz was always tested on, used as a new creation from old prototypes… went through a lot of excruciating pain while being tested on… which is why there are marks on her arm from it being re-welded in battle.. if you get injured quartz is more than likely to leave you.. and do self preservation but.. not always... they do this because of how they felt left... by the other drones who just watched quartz get tested on.. yet didn't try and do anything..*
