Chapter 9-Forming new relationships is kinda like opening a rusty gate: it takes effort. In Irc’s base, we see that he has been hooking up Undead, and draining them of their Necrochronos as he converts it into a power Source. “I will achieve my master’s ideology for the future, the Full and the Half will be dominant, while the Obstructions shall be no more than common fuel for the people…” Back at the ARC Warehouse(The name of the Base), Scope is playing giftless hide and seek, and he finds Mel(Who was under a car), Snipe(Who was in the Wardrobe Room), and Target(Who was in a washing machine). “F-f-found you!” Scope says almost childishly. “H-how did you f-fiand us?” Snipe said while also trying to stifle a yawn(Not very successful, given his speech after being found), “Pretty sure hes cheating, Scope, you can enhance you Vision, right?” Mel asks. “Improbable, he has what is known as a ‘tell’: his eyes” Target confirmed. Verdant Gaze is a Divination gift that allows Scope to see up to 500x the range of someone with 20/20 vision, and his eyes glow from emerald to malachite. “Also, we would have known regardless since he needs eye drops after he uses it, since it gives him eye strain”. Scope mutters something, and before we know what he said, Simon is now awake. “Good morning! I hope you had a lovely game?” “You seem in a good mood, Silas” Snipe observed “Im just not as bored, Taylor” Mel just rolled her eyes, as she still finds the Name Gag to be, and she tries on her most condescending voice,”complètement ridicule” Just then, a loud alarm blares and everyone BUT Simon covers their ears. Irat walks by in his muffs. “HOW IS ReDIRECTOR ANNOTYING ALREADY IN HIS EAR MUFFS?!” “AIR JETS, WILL EXPLAIN LATER” Everyone screams at Simon. After Irat disables the Alarm, he uses his Umbral Control to prevent Simon from taking two headache pills. On the monitor, we see what looks like a new type of Lapse. “Oh Kluof! It’s a Klepticas, or Separated Greed! Irc must be getting desperate…” Simon then snickers creepily for a good while. Everyone looks at Simon, and he breaks off into one of those creepy sing-song melodies: “I know something you don’t!” Simon then changes into Scope, and Scope explains how he and Simon were once part of Irc’s cult: The Separated Balance. As part of an experiment, He and Simon were fused together. The Klepticas bursts in, and shocks everyone. “For those who wish to exterminate me, ring the doorbell first!” Irat exclaimed. “I th-th-think no-o-o-a-ot!) The Klepticas exclaims while also glitch laughing. Simon wakes back up, and sees everyone fighting over who gets to capture the Lapse. “You poor, poor fools, You label me as suffering a mental disease, when clearly I am blessed.” Simon is as you know, a psychopath, so he is rather indifferent to things like material gain. Simon drives off the Lapse using Comedic Tragedy, while he also mocks the lapse,”You steal, because you say it’s part of your nature? How utterly pathetic, you scum-eating victimizer” which causes the Lapse to have a mental breakdown, and Simon captures it using a Fragmented Recall Active Inn for Lapses, or a FRAIL, a kind of upgraded PACU for only the tier 3 Lapses. The bickering ceases, and everyone apologizes for their rude behaviour. The FRAIL is Orb shaped, as opposed to the Cube shapes of the PACUs. Simon deposits the Frail, and decides to Tube Risa, thanking her for creating the rather successful prototype of the FRAIL. While everyone was celebrating….Irc again was covering his face with his left hand in both exhaustion and exasperation. “Why must they be so…wasteful I dare say? No matter….For Master’s Source is eternal, and I shall take over as the new Shepherd, but alas! I have to go through that annoying Gatekeyper, Ezra! Oh they will be no match for my Source of the Night!” He rises up from his pipe throne and he goes to the Necrocore, which stores the Night Source he had been making. “Uh, Sargent? We ran some tests on the conversion chair, and it is highly unstable. I just do not get it-” “It’s fine, Simon must have sabotaged the prototype before he toura’juix[That can mean either Flimsy Trust, or Rogue Traitor depending on the contexts])” Back at the ARC base, Scope is seen trying to bond with Irat, but he cannot get over his Necrophobia. “A pale green fellow, stricken with grief, the one who tries, but ultimatly fails, to bond with the ReChief”one mystical voice chimed “How do you forge a bond despite immense fear?” another questioned “A quest: Bond with the Undead Director, do you want in?” A mystical, almost masculine voice announced
