Tbh I didn't have any headcanons for them before this, usually I love making headcanons for my favorite characters but Yin-Yang already had so many cool facts about them that I didn't make any! But... after looking at some other people's headcanons I got from Pin, I decided to yonk some of them >:3 Both Yin and Yang use he/him pronouns, but prefer if you call them they/them when preferring to the both of them... since they're two peeps. (Not original) Yin-Yang admire a lot of people, Yang a little more. Like Candle, Cabby, and Clover (sorta canon??) It's a popular headcanon that Candle is like their mother figure, so popular that I can't see their relationship being anything else. I like to prefer to Yin-Yang as "my children", but I don't mind sharing custody lol- I saw someone headcanon Yin as having Congenital nerve weakness that affects his leg, because Yin's leg was hard to move and it's genius Yin overthinks a lot (he just like me fr) while Yang is more carefree, and often suppresses any negative emotions. (Kinda canon with how he said he doesn't like "talking about feelings") Yang would def have a hard time when it comes to more serious situations. He tries his best to comfort people in his.. own way. Like when he gave Riggity Rex back to Yin half burnt lol (Thought of this one myself) They comfort eachother by hugging themselves or grabbing the other side's arm (Not original)(THIS IS SO CUTE) Since they have an Italian accent, I headcanoned that Italian is their first language, Yin is better at English than Yang (popular headcanon I feel) Yang has celiac disease bc he said he was gluten free hehe (Not original) They love dragons (Not original) They 100% play games like Roblox and Minecraft, Yang would like Fornite, and Yin would like Animal Crossing (all not original beside the Animal Crossing one) Yang would blow up Yin's builds in Minecraft with TNT (based off a true experience with my own brother sob) THIS HEADCANON I SAW IS SO FUNNY OMGA "When Yin-Yang are making an account on any app, they use the number 69 on the end of their username all the time. Yin does it because it reminds him of the Yin-Yang symbol while Yang does it for the other reason. (He doesn't really know what 69 means, he just knows it's supposed to be funny or have a 'dark' meaning)" Yin enjoys singing :3 may be canon? Yang likes to draw ^^ (I think I saw this somewhere) Yin likes to read! (I came up with this one, lowk may be canon since they've borrowed so many books from the library before) They both like to listen to music as comfort (may be projecting) Yang is actually very supportive and a massive feminist (Not original, lowk seems very canon lol)
It's canon that they love Hatsune Miku, but what are their favorite vocaloid artists and songs? I think Yin would like more darker songs that have really meaningful lyrics, and he likes to analyze the lyrics. Meanwhile Yang wouldn't think that deeply and just enjoys it because it's a bop! I saw someone say that Yang would like loud vocaloid and enjoy MARETU and agree! I kinda see Yin liking Kikuo >:] Since I headcanon Yin to like analyzing songs, I think he would also like character analysis and other kinds of deep dives into stuff! (I came up with this myself) I like to see them both as ace. It's popular to headcanon them as aroace too, but I saw someone headcanon Yang as gay and Yin as pan and I like that too... I'm very indecisive when it comes to LGBTQ+ headcanons lol Yin likes pineapple on pizza and Yang judges him so hard for it (Came up with this myself) Yang chews on books (I came up with this one after coming across a Squirm short help??) Uhhh I ran out of ideas :p Here's a short thing I wrote for pride month last year I think? Idk I sorta like the idea for it tho It was pride month in Inanimate Insanity, so of course they had a pride parade! Everyone was having fun and talking, meanwhile Yin-Yang was running around the place giggling, before they came across a stand selling lots of pride stuff, such as pins, flags, bracelets and capes. They stood in front of the stand, looking over all of the stuff. Now that they were thinking about it, they felt sorta out of place here. “What should we get?" Yang said, looking interested but I'm not sure he even knows what half of these flags even mean. ”...I don't know what I am.” Yin replied, looking thoughtful as he looked at everyone else around who was wearing their flags proudly. He never really thought about it all before, but now he was wondering if he could be part of this LGBTQ+ stuff? Yang hummed, before his eye just lit up, taking control of their body to snatch something from the stand. “I know what we are!” He grabbed a rainbow cape, and put it over them swiftly. “WE. ARE. RAINBOW!!” Yang exclaimed, striking a epic pose. Yin was baffled to say the lease. “What?- Yang, that doesn't make sense!” “YES IT DOES! WHY ELSE WOULD THERE BE A RAINBOW ONE?” “It's not a literal rainbow-” “You're just dumb!” “Wh- *GASP* No I'm not!!” (Ends there) And here's another writing thing that includes Yin-Yang! It's rather old and honestly I dunno why I wrote this but it's not bad tbh Yin-Yang and Clover are currently chasing each other around the hotel, giggling and having fun. They ran around, coming near Paper who was slowly walking in the halls, looking down at some papers, hotel stuff. He paused, tapping the end of his pen to his face, deep in thought. Yin-Yang stopped in front of a water machine, (One of the those water dispenser thingys with a big ol water bottle on top) and quickly, Clover attempted to tackle the smaller object- but accidentally...they knocked over the water machine, making it spill, and unfortunately, Paper was stood right next to it and the water got all over Paper. "EK-!" Paper let out a surprised shriek, dropping his pen and all the papers he had, the sound of the water machine's bottle hitting the floor was a loud one. It was filled with a good amount of water, so Paper was...soaked. He tried and failed to contain a cry, his paper body trembling as his breathing got all shaky. Despite how durable he was, he was still a giant piece of paper...and as you know, you can't get paper wet! He suddenly felt very weak and fragile, having to put an hand on the top of himself to keep himself upright, he also seemed in pain, although he tried to conceal it. Clover let out a startled gasp while Yin-Yang flinched as the machine fell and Paper yelped, Clover quickly going to his side. "Paper! Oh my gosh I am SO sorry, are you okay?!" Clover picked up the giant bottle and put it back onto the water machine, it was now empty as all the water spilled...everywhere... all over the floor. What a mess. Not only was Paper soaked, but Paper's papers were also soaked! So much paper damage! Yin-Yang stood there silent for a moment, the white half (Yin) looked guilty while the black half (Yang) just looked surprised. Yin- "Flat person, we're so sorry! It was an accident..." Yang- "But, isn't it just water?" Yin- "*Gasp* Yang! How could you be so insensitive? Water is like acid to the flimsy Paper!" Paper deeply exhaled, before letting out a soft, shaky sigh to compose himself, looking over at the two (three?) with a gentle yet strained smile. "I-I'm fine... Just be more careful, okay?" Clover helped Paper steady himself, his paper self was drooping, that was a LOT of water, and it was very painful. Yin was right, it really did feel like acid! Paper kept whimpering, and they could obviously tell that he was not okay. It was probably a matter of time before some of the others came to see what was going on, that crash was pretty loud.
