use JKIL keybinds to use your car (similar to WASD) you can race custom maps made by other people or your own. There is AUDIO, please check your volume. (READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW) --------------------HOW EACH BLOCK WORKS Green light - start block. Faces the car towards the checkered side. Red light - end block. When the car touches the LIGHT, not the block, the race ends. Light grey block - road. Does nothing but shows the desired path by the creator. Dark teal block - wall. Any variation is also a wall, including slopes. Arrows blocks - boosters. Points the player to where the arrows are facing, and boosts speed. Pink block - engine off. Stops the player from accelerating for the rest of the race. Brown block - mud. Slows the player. Green block - grass. makes turning harder to control. if any of this is inaccurate, please tell me because I have not played my own game in months. -------------------- --------------------HOW THE EDITOR WORKS press space to place a block where your mouse is. press the arrow keys (left, right) to switch between blocks. press the file button (top right) to save the map or import a custom map. To delete blocks, you are going to have to edit the map save manually (should be fixed by the full release) You can only place one start block. -------------------- --------------------HOW TO USE THE REPLAY (not in demo) The replay editor might be a little confusing. To pause / play, press space. It will auto stop at the end of the replay, but pressing space will restart the replay. To skim the editor or go to a specific part of the replay, use the dot on the bar at the bottom menu (I will refer to the bottom menu as the 'replay UI'. You can access the replay UI by placing your mouse at the bottom of the screen). Using the dot will automatically pause the replay. Press the circle on the right of the replay UI to change the speed of the replay. Press the button on the left of the replay UI to pause / play the replay. -------------------- --------------------SETTINGS (demo version incomplete) Each setting uses a branch to set a setting. I, for some reason (hopefully fixed by the full release), decided that branches can be both individual answers or the root of the setting you want to enter. I may or may not remove roots from the full release, but branches will likely stay. (root)---"F1-" type "F1-" (root command) to enter the car sprite you want. here are the commands for the car skins (remember to type "F1-" before them, and no space): default saturated silver gold inverted plain dangan pixel hitbox-accurate (note that it is NOT hitbox accurate and CAN ruin your runs. do NOT use if you want to get personal records or publish replays. Obviously do not include this text in the name of the skin) paper apollo (branch) "new keybinds" a branch is similar to a root, except it is typed as the answer itself and the settings will ask for more answers. This usually will only apply to settings that need multiple specific answers, or at least in the demo. type "new keybinds" to set your keybinds. -------------------- --------------------HOW TO SHARE SAVES Scratch's Terms Of Service (TOS) prevent me from sharing external links. This means I am not allowed to share any documents or sites to share replays or maps. I highly recommend setting up a system similar to a document with a group of people that will play this game, such as your friends, but I sadly cannot share any official documents of published save files. If anyone wants to help me set up a data storing and sorting algorithm to make a sort of project (on native Scratch, of course), feel free to message me on my profile. I would have put an E-mail link here but Scratch does not like that sorry -------------------- --------------------HOW TO PLAY WITH A CONTROLLER does not work in the demo version. likely will not work in the initial full release, either. please be patient, as this game has a lot of features that need to be implemented like better settings and better graphics, as well as game modes or ghost records. -------------------- --------------------FAQ will I have to memorize the setting options? the full version will likely have a UI with branches. will there be extra options for the camera? There will be camera modes for maps in the full release. Will there be support for Turbowarp settings? yes, in a full release edition. will there ever be any better versions with multiplayer? there is planned to be spin-offs. This is not officially announced yet.
