ok so basically i've been looking into what scratch has been saying about AI. if you can't see it, it says that ' RIGHT NOW, we are not training any ai models on scratcher's data.' (the whole paragraph is in the 'text' sprite's costumes.) now this could be taken positively or negatively, maybe even both - scratch could either not implement generative ai at all anymore (which isn't very likely but just keep your hopes up), or they could in the future. some types of AI aren't harmful to the environment like generative AI is (such as reactive machines and, even more specifically, the AI Hatsune Miku v6 uses) so scratch could be using non-harmful AI, but, especially due to the popularity and versatility, this isn't likely. there COULD be a good thing about their new use, as they have made boundaries called 'lines in the sand'. they've been pasted below: Safe: Prevent harmful content Ethical: Protect children’s data Transparent: Share information about how it works Human-Centered: Never undermine human agency or relationships maybe they could not use under 13's data for AI, if they decide to use scratcher's data. you could try making an with a y0ung if you haven't already. (sorry for the corny coverup. but it's necessary.) ... but the thing is, especially with what's going on in the world right now (like CERTAIN people..) how long will they keep their word for? i don't even know anymore. just keep going. i believe in all of you. <3, kawaki
