"Three kits are stronger than GemClan" Next: none Previous: none First: here Characters: Dirttail of GemClan Riverclaw of GemClan Rubygem of RubyClan Oceanheart of GemClan Rosekit of RubyClan
A brown tom-cat with green eyes and a gray she-cat with blue eyes sat arguing by a loud waterfall. Trees surrounded them as they glared at each other. The two cats kept hissing at each other. “You know the kits are special. We can’t interfere with the prophecy,” the brown tom-cat called over the waterfall's noise. “We don’t mess with the prophecies of cats that are supposed to be stronger than us. GemClan can still get hurt. We may be dead but we can die again!” “Dirttail, you’re thinking too much about GemClan. We may still be able to get hurt but we are supposed to deliver prophecies too. Think about the kits, if they die then what will happen to us? We will probably die. Plus, Oceanheart probably wants us to do what I think is best,” the gray she-cat scolded. “But it could be dangerous for Gemclan, even if they do die, we -and the other Clans- will still survive, even if our life is hard,” Dirttail replied. ”We should tell Grayspot, their mother, about the prophecy, we won’t mess with the prophecy itself, but she gave birth to them so she deserves to know. Riverclaw, Can I tell Grayspot, please?” “No. Let the cats who told us tell who they want to tell. They are older and wiser, Oceanheart can tell us to but other than that we are telling no one! If we let them die then we might be banished from Gemclan! Our home! We tell no one!” Riverclaw ordered, raising her voice to be heard, because the waterfall was very, very, very loud. “Don’t tell anyone, even Rubygem, I will tell him. Him only! He is their leader after all so he deserves to know, but not Grayspot, even if she gave birth to them. She would protect them so much that they wouldn’t be able to do what they are supposed to do! Plus, a leader is more important to a kit than it’s mother. They all want to become leader” A third cat appeared instantly. He was brown, had many scars, and ruby red eyes. “What is all this commotion about?” the cat asked. “Three kits are stronger than GemClan,” Riverclaw said in a very mysterious voice. “I will be ready then,” the brown cat said. As the sun started to rise, he disappeared into the trees. After a few moments of thought, so did Riverclaw and Dirttail. Then, once all were gone, another cat appeared. The cat was orange with beautiful bright blue eyes. “Huh, I guess they are gone. That is good, because I, Oceanheart, need to call a meeting here for the most trusted cats.” The orange she-cat turned away. “I hope the last meeting had them tell Rubygem, for he is their leader.” Oceanheart heard a bramble rustle. “Oh, she is here, even if she just remembers this as a dream I will still tell her. She needs to know.” Oceanheart whispered as a calico she-cat with green eyes stepped into the clearing. “Is this a vision? I want to be a warrior, so sorry you shouldn’t talk to me.” The she-cat said. “You need to hear this, no matter if you want to be a medicine cat or not, Rosekit.” Oceanheart replied. Rosekit sat down to listen. As Oceanheart repeated the prophecy, Rosekit listened carefully. “Now you and your sisters must do as this prophecy says.” Oceanheart finished. "What did you mean by sisters?” Rosekit asked. “You will find out soon enough.” Oceanheart answered. “Please tell me.” Rosekit pleaded. “I must go.” “Wait! Don’t go!” Rosekit pleaded. “I’m sorry.” Oceanheart disappeared after talking. After a couple heartbeats Rosekit did too. Rubygem woke up. Strange. GemClan hadn't spoken for a long time. He got up. It must be important. *This is the Dawn of Change in the Clans of gems.* He thought
