If you've clicked on this project, you either already know what this is or are just learning about this. For those who don't know, Roblox has decided to pull a YT Kids. Along with the age verification rules that were already put in place earlier this year there will be separations not only to chat but to what certain games can be played. There will be splits of three, Roblox (Kids), Roblox (Select), and the base platform, what we currently have as of writing this. Now personally, I think this update could go multiple ways, but lets go over the already identified pros and cons. Pros (A Roblox update having pros???): - This means children are less likely to run into disgusting games (I'd hope ._.) - Roblox (Select) gives reasonable restrictions, doesn't entirely affect the Roblox experience. While Roblox (Kids) gives restrictions that are more needed - This COULD mean more chat interactions, because there will probably be less younger age groups getting into certain games Cons (We all expected these): - It is SCARILY easy to get into the "Roblox (Kids)" version of the site, simply by just not verifying. If you know, you know. - This one isn't serious, but "Roblox (Select)"??? What kinda name is that - This will mean people will further be separated from each other in ways other than chat Overall, we'll only be able to make a good decision on this update when it actually rolls out. Otherwise, the logos are actually kinda chill (PLEASE tell me an ACTUAL artist designed them), the name "Roblox Select" COULD be changed because cmon... Roblox "Select"??? Personally, I've had thoughts about this update as far back as 2023, which is really when Roblox's problems started to shine. But let me know how you guys feel about this _____________________________________________ Daniel Bautista - Intro
