Don't read this if you know me IRL. Not proofread at all. I might voice over this, I dunno yet. Everybody I know lacks critical thinking skills. The people around me AS I’m writing this lack critical thinking skills. One of them, we’ll call him C, continuously makes fun of me for being hard of hearing and my mother for being fully deaf. C treats me like I’m dumb just because I don’t process things well. The other ones enable this behaviour, refusing to see that it’s wrong because “He didn’t do anything to me!” That’s because you’re privileged. You can hear better than my mother and I can. Let’s talk about a second person, T. T is aware that J, one of their partners, wants to fight me. And J has threatened to fight me multiple times in the past, even threatened to come to my house, y’know, where I live? Where my *family* lives? J has also assaulted MULTIPLE people, including one of my closest friends. But T excuses this. You wanna know what she says? “They didn’t do anything to me!” Noticing any parallels? That’s because T is one of the people enabling C’s behaviour. T knows about C’s ableism, about J’s abuse, and continues to be friends with and date them, respectively. How is it possible to be this, for lack of a better word, idiotic? Do you even have the ability to be a good person? The only reason J defends another person, L, is because what *they* did to my classmate, R, is “alleged” even though I watched L do it!!! THERE ISN’T “PROOF” BECAUSE IT WAS A SPUR OF THE MOMENT THING!! I CAN’T ALWAYS PULL OUT MY PHONE IN THE MIDDLE OF THIRD PERIOD AND RECORD AN INCIDENT AS IT HAPPENS. Now L’s sister wants to fight me. So does J, because J can’t handle that one of their “best friends” is just like them, an assaulter.
