I've been hearing that Scratch is training AI on projects. This is REALLY unnecessary, and it's taking away skill and opportunities from actual artists who spend so much time perfecting their projects. THIS IS NOT OKAY! The majority of Scratch users are literal students, and taking away what could be something they do in the future isn't okay either. If you don't know how to draw, it's fine! We've all been there. However, instead of relying on a stupid machine to make the art FOR you, pick up a pencil and keep trying. Nobody is born with artistic talent; you need to make it for yourself. Trust me, you'll feel so much prouder of yourself when you actually put effort into creating the art instead of typing in a prompt. There are SO many instances where AI Slop has gone viral and taken over the internet, like Fruit Love Island (which is hands down one of the most pathetic trends I have ever seen). One thing many AI users forget is that AI can't function without other people's work. It basically just takes lots of work from other artists and mashes it up. Also, countless companies are starting to implement AI into their algorithms, and so are educational programs (We can obviously not trust AI with education). Some of my teachers are using AI to generate our worksheets/activities, grade our work, and even make seating charts and classroom decorations. It's not that hard to reach out to a friend for a commission if you really don't want to or don't have the time for the art. People are really losing the passion and dedication to art. Think of classic animations, paintings, music compositions, or different works of writing. These things were all made with human skill. If we don't stop AI right now, people in the future will barely have any creative functioning, and everything will be AI. And anyway, who wants to take away our valuable resources to fund something that isn't doing anyone any good? I want to have an art career when I grow up, but the way this is going, a lot of people around the world are going to struggle so much to find jobs. We need to stop AI right now because it is taking away what makes us so great, our creativity. REPOST/REMIX THIS TO SPREAD THE WORD!
