Instructions

[Prologue → "Avtugzner."] Jax sat outside on the soft grass, staring above him at the stars, his ear slightly twitching. The stars above were bright in the dimmed, blue side of the outside. Crickets chirped. The others were talking to each other. But Jax distanced himself from them, staring up at the sky. It's calming outside. Realistic, almost. Jax almost forgot that he was only in a forever simulation. He let himself close his eyes, laying on the grass, the outside air chilling, relaxing. "Hey, Jax." The voice came from beside him. Jax opened an eye, glancing over. There, he saw Pοmni. "Hey." Jax said in return, before glancing back at the stars. "You seem...non-jerky, tonight. What are you looking for in those stars?" "Nothing. Just...stargazing. " Pοmni stared at Jax, before she looked at the stars herself. "Hey, Jax?" She asked after a while, as if checking if he was still there. "Yeah?" Jax said in return. "Have you ever... nevermind.." Pοmni went quiet after saying that. Jax's ear twitched, but he didn't say anything, instead sitting up, looking over at Ragatha. She was looking at him with that weird look. "Hey, dollface!" He called out with a small, tired grin. "What do you want, Jax?" Ragatha said back, her voice cheerful, though annoyed. Jax was about to say something mean, like he normally does, but stopped himself, then just shrugged at Ragatha. "Nevermind." Ragatha stared at him for a moment, before looking away, towards Gangle and Zooble. "What was that about?" Pοmni asked. "What do you mean?" Jax looked at her. "Not saying anything mean to Ragatha." "It's just a calm night out. I didn't wanna...yknow, ruin the vibe." Jax said with another shrug, looking back at the stars. Pοmni stared at him a moment longer, before looking back at the stars herself. "Are we...friends, Jax?" She muttered after a while, so it was quiet enough only for Jax to hear. Jax's ear twitched, and he looked over at Pοmni. "...of course we are what would make you think that we're not?" "Selenophobia!" Nebula yell made Sen jolt up on the cloud he was laying on, hitting his head on another cloud- though that cloud simply just puffed. "Nebs..." Sen sighed after a while, laying back down, placing his hand on his head. "Did you have that dream again, Sen?" Nebula asked, checking to make sure that Sen didn't hit a star. "I'm not even sure it's a dream anymore, Nebula- it's reoccurring , and it's always these people I don't know about, but they look so familiar.." "Like a vision?" Nebula sat on the cloud beside Sen. "I don't know, maybe.." "We'll figure it out soon." "I sure hope you're right.." "Anyways.." Nebula stood up, moving carefully. "We have work to do, to get back to Orion in the Void. Let's go." She turned, walking off. Selenophobia laid there for a moment, before sitting up, following after.
