Most people think that Undertale is just about being nice or mean to monsters, but if you find the hidden tapes in the True Lab, you find out that Chara and the prince Asriel had a really sad ending. It is a very depressing story because they were just kids but they had a very scary ahh plan. Chara and Asriel accidentally put buttercup flowers in a pie for King Asgore. Buttercups are poisonous. Asriel says Chara laughed it off but then Chara got a bad idea. They decided to eat the flowers on purpose so they would die. Chara wanted Asriel to take their soul so he could turn into his God Of Hyperdeath form and go past the barrier to get six more souls from the humans. you can hear that Asriel was really scared. He says, "I don't like this idea, Chara." He was crying, but Chara made him promise to help. This is sad because Chara was using their best friend to do something dangerous. Chara died a very slow and painful death from the poison. When Asriel took the soul, they became the God of Hyperdeath and went to Chara’s old village. The saddest part is the ending which Asriel tells you at the end of the True Pacifist route. He says that when they got to the village, the humans attacked them. Chara wanted to use their "full power" to destroy everyone. Chara really hated humanity. But Asriel didn't want to hurt anyone, so he just stood there and let the humans hit them. Because Asriel wouldn't fight, they both died when they got back to the castle. The kingdom lost two children in one night. This shows that Chara wasn't a "perfect" person like Asriel thought. They were much more dangerous.
