Here's the #1 engine. Thomas was built June 1915 at Brighton Works looking like an actual E2 with some differences. In 1920 Thomas was rebuilt into a more reliable engine and got painted into North Western Blue. During WWII Thomas got repainted into black as a test to see if it was beneficial, which it really wasn't. Then in 1960 he crashed into the stationmaster's house, then got rebuilt. Around 1981 Thomas gained a Giesel Injector, the counter weight things, curved smokebox supports and a slightly longer footplate.
