She is a courageous cat and laughs in the face of danger, wanting to put on a brave face to seem tougher to others than she really is. Quite assertive, Canyonkit isn't afraid to stand up and let other cats know what she thinks of certain things, good or bad. Canyon is also extremely ambitious, wanting to have a big impact on the clans and be remembered for years through stories, good or bad. Canyonkit isn't one to sugarcoat or exaggerate things. She believes that a straightforward and blunt answer is much better than trying to beat around the bush. This bluntness can lead to apathy, which also leads to her having a hard time making connections with others. Canyonkit's ambition and confidence makes it hard to think before she does, often resulting in brash and impulsive decisions. Canyon can be very rebellious. Finding it hard to put her emotions into words sometimes, she will instead act out and cause chaos. ❝Where'd I go?❞ Future gender + pronouns: ☆Canyonkit will be a cis female and use she/her pronouns throughout her life Future Sexuality: ★Canyonkit will be demisexual with an attraction to male and non-binary cats ❝I just want my mind to be a clear glass❞ Previous RP experience: ☆I've been roleplaying on scratch for all of the three years I've been here! Inside, she's grieving and unsure of how to handle it, so instead, she just masks it with distance. Family Dynamics: ☆ Spoonbill: Canyonkit will immediately become attached to her mother, idolizing and looking up to her after she takes her and her siblings in. ★Research for bobtail/ how it will affect Canyon: Bobtails, a trait that can sometimes be found in cats, are due to a genetic mutation found in the feline T, Brachyury gene. This mutation affects the vertebrae found in the tail, leading to a reduced tail length and sometimes fused vertebrate. They usually appear slightly curved or kinked, which differs from that of a cat with Manx syndrome. Bobtails and Manx syndrome are not the same thing, which is a common misconception among people. The lack of a full-length tail, which is commonly used for balance, can lead to issues when finding and keeping balance. Similarly, the lack of vertebrae in the spine can lead to spinal problems later on in life and sometimes neurological abnormalities due to the central nervous system running a long the length of a cat's spine. However, neurological side-effects are usually more common in cats with the same mutation but with no tail at all. Bobtail cats are also known to have an increased risk of kidney problems and the growth of cysts in one or both kidneys. Additionally, hip dysplasia, osteoarthritis in a lax hip joint is found to be quite common in cats with bobtails, as the mutation which affects the growth of their spine can also affect that of their hip joint. Along with All of these, back pain will start to develop slowly moon by moon. All of these side-effects will start to become more prominent as Canyonkit's life goes on. Arthritis and back pains will start to take hold around 40-50 moons and increase, becoming quite painful for her as she reaches elder age. Because of the balancing issues that come with having a bobtail, Canyonkit will often find it hard to hunt and maintain balance when pouncing on prey. It will also be harder for Canyon to keep her balance when fighting, which she I'll likely learn during playfights with other kits.
