Horse Swap w/ Abby|Lance - Lance is a percheron-appy cross who may be both the sweetest yet most naughty horse I've ever come across! Abby and I decided to do a bit of a horse swap as a “catch-up” Today I decided to take Lance out for a lunge in order to get him warmed up and ready for our hack later! He was a bit more reserved than usual, even though he's familiar with me due to the fact that Abby wasn't present, however he did execute all of the movements I asked of him perfectly! He did try to walk off and eat some of the grass on the side of the arena while I was getting some of the equipment ready, so he still retained some of that classic spunk! I wasn't sure if he had ever used a lunging cavesson , however he seemed to take to it naturally- a display of Riverside's superior training! (Hack art in the next update*) After our hack, I took him for a quick cooldown! I find that after a hack/riding a horse, taking them for a long walk is the most effective technique to help them relax. When I loaded him up into the trailer in order to help take him back to Riverside, he seemed to be much less frisky than when I lunged him in the morning. The last photo/panel is of a cute photo I took of him in his paddock before handing him off to Abby! He was incredibly interested in my phone, and took a good sniff! After feeding him a few carrots, I took this goofy photo and went back to Moonlight Valley!
