This is the fifth chapter of the collab story between me and Nic (@FlaggleNerd) VStoryV "Oh" it wasn't necessarily a bad oh. No disappointment or anything, just a plain, emotionless oh. The kind of oh when you are processing through something in your head, flipping the thought over in your head as you try to analyze all the aspects of it. That's how it sounded, but on the inside there was disappointment was definitely present, and anger. I really thought Lynx's mom would have better taste, or any taste at all... or common sense at least. "Oh?" Lynx says, both still excited from his earlier news and confused with my response. "That's... that's just surprising" I say, trying to keep a neutral tone, but I can feel my expression faltering into a subtle scowl. "Isn't it great! We'll be siblings!" He says with a huge, goofy grin on his face. "Yeah, sure whatever" at this point the conversation is starting to take up the little energy I have left. It's like I can feel the energy physically leaving my body and decaying as I continue to glance at the clock. I have plenty of time before the 2nd period, but still, I do not wish the last bit of my energy and time to be wasted on this conversation, I need to save it in order to survive math class. It takes a surprising amount of energy to survive an hour long conversation about the volume of a freaking cone, but apparently that knowledge is vital to my future so oh well. "You good?" Lynx asks, the concern on his face telling me that I must have zoned out again. "Oh, what? Yeah, just got to go to class" I push past him before he can tell me that we still have 5 minutes until class starts.
