Movie Night Ident for A2TV from 1987-1996. Program Classification Cards for A2TV from 1985-1990 & 1990-1998. The growing popularity of weekend night movie specials prompted A2TV to prioritise scheduling for movie airings on Saturdays and Sundays at 10PM and 9PM respectively. As part of the prioritisation, a new special ident was created. Proceeding the ident were the various viewer rating cards to indicate the nature of the film that was being shown. This would be standardised by the Alvernian Media Classifications Authority (AMCA) in 1998. Variants: From 1995, there is a "widescreen" variant. The logo starts in 4:3 before letterbox-ing itself down to either 16:9 or 2.35:1. (maybe i'll get ard to animating it) From 1990, the ident fades to black before the viewer rating cards. This follows a new revamp to said cards. (I do apologise for the low-quality 90s cards, the vectors couldn't be imported properly). Editor's Note: For those eagle-eyed viewers, you may notice that the 90s batch of cards lasted until 1998. This meant that, between 1997-1998, the old 1985 logo can still be seen, even after the rebrand.
