READ ALL PLEASE This project allows you to use many different kinds of ciphers to encode text! A cipher changes the alphabet a word or phrase is written in to make it incomprehensible to people without the solution. A common example of a cipher (and one featured in this project) is a Caesar cipher, where the letters are shifted by a certain amount (e.g. with a shift of 5 a --> f) in order to turn a simple 'hello' into 'mjqqt'. Pretty confusing, right? This project features three common but useful ciphers: the Caesar cipher, the A1Z26 cipher, and the keyed cipher. Below are how each works and how to use them in the project: -- Caesar Cipher -- As described above, this cipher shifts the letters of a message to turn them into gibberish. In this project, first click the Caesar cipher button, then input the amount you want to shift by (this can be positive or negative---a shift of 1 would turn a into b; -1 would turn a into z). Then input the message you want to encrypt, and view it in the RESULT box. If it is too long, triple-click the text and copy it, then paste it somewhere you can read it. -- A1Z26 Cipher -- This cipher turns letters into numbers, which can be shifted by any amount. It gets its name from the base shift of zero, where A becomes 1, B becomes 2, and so on until Z becomes 26. First input how much you want to change these by (e.g. shift of 5 would make A 6, B 7, etc.), and then input the message. View it in the RESULT box. -- Keyed Cipher -- This cipher changes the order of the alphabet based on a keyword. For example, if the key was "lemon", the alphabet would be lemonabcdfghijkpqrstuvwxyz. It is still 26 letters, just in a different order. If the key had more than one of a letter, it would be shortened to fit: "door" would become "dorabc...". First input the key you want to use (it can be any word, even one that repeats letters), then the message. View the encryption in the RESULT box. CUSTOM CIPHERS This project also features custom ciphers. To make your own cipher, you must set a value for every letter a-z, then you can encrypt messages with that cipher until you stop the project or make a new custom cipher. NOTE: One custom cipher at a time can be saved and used as long as the project is not stopped (don't click the green flag). I know that was a lot, so thanks for reading all that, and now . . . happy encoding!
All code by me I fixed the bug with saving and loading custom ciphers
