Desensitization with Dianthus --- Dianthus is our up-and-coming hunter jumper prospect! We bought him from TSF, known for their great conformation and amazing personalities! While he may be young, he shows an incredible drive to succeed! Today we started working on getting him familiarised with unfamiliar sensations/places; I took him by the tack room and let him take a look! He hasn't been backed, however he accepts the halter well so I'm hoping we could build on some of his earlier training and get him used to a bridle! First, I started off with the flags; we used then on our last update and he seems to have no reaction to it whatsoever! Last time he seemed to be uncomfortable with his legs/face, which made it incredibly surprising that he made such a drastic difference in such a short time! I'm looking to get him backed soon, so I brought out one of the saddle pads from the tack room! He seemed pretty interested and came to give it a good sniff, however he lost interest and wasn't as confident. I'll be leaving it to the next update! Lastly, we've been working on getting him used to a bridle. He gave it a good sniff and allowed me to put it over his head! This bridle doesn't have a bit, however I'll try to introduce it within the next few weeks! -- click/any key for next Creds to @ravenpool and @mythiopianpegasus
