Well, honestly things have been stale on my end. My newest project behind the scenes is taking forever to make because life keeps getting in the way, however, I managed to scrap together enough time to think of a new idea I wanted to bring up. So, the D-Sides mod got a Redux update recently, and a certain purple armadillo got me thinking about whatever could have evolved into him after the first version of Too Slow. So, I came up with something, albeit in the Classic B-Side recolor ruleset. (I swear there is more to this) In the B-Side universe, everyone in the Sonic series is themed after a certain mineral or treasure item found in the ground, most of the time being something strong or rare. For instance, Sonic is themed around silver, (not the character, the mineral). But Xenophanes obviously is going to change that. At first, in Too Slow, he's just a slightly darker version of B-Side/Treasure Sonic, with cyan eyes for seemingly no reason. In You Can't Run, his metal fur gets visibly darker and heavier, as slight blue indents start to form on his fur, smashing together from his frustration that he can't kill BF, sort of like Classic Xenophanes. Finally, in Triple Trouble, it's revealed that he was actually forming tons of straight hard DIAMONDS all over his back. His silver quills were actually transforming into coal, which smashed together extremely fast to form the diamonds on his back. (This is actually something that happens, when coal is smashed together it transforms into diamonds.) I figured since D-Side Mighty.ZIP/Zephiniah has the ability to manipulate cold weather around him, why not make other .EXEs themed around other biomes? I'm not sure what to do with this yet, but I might be onto something here. Who knows?
