hi guys ! i'm a young writer who would love to be an author! i hope u like this !... This book is based in the victorian times! CHAPTER ONE The train shuffled on it's track, pacing further and further away. "Noo!" I looked, around. People with lavish gowns stood around me. Ladies were holding their fans gracefully and the men were holding their arms. I then felt suddenly self conscious. I looked down at my pastel pink gown. I had hated it that morning but mother approved of it so i was forced by father to wear it. Of course i was. My sister, Elizabeth loved to wear her gowns and I knew why. She looked fabulous in hers, the dress hung tight against her waist whilst I always hated wearing a corset. I would never. My dress would always hang even more loosley over my over skinny body if i were to wear one. "Good evening," I looked around to see a young gentleman, who looked about my age, with brown hair and a handsome face. "Oh, good evening, sir!" I used my manners that mother had taught me. For some reason, he smirked. "Please, dont call me that. It's too superior for me." He chuckled and smiled at me. "Did you just miss that train?" He smiled again, making my stomach turn, not in a bad way. "Yes," I nodded. He stared at my eyes. "That's quite frustrating! Would you like me to call a taxi for you?" Using my manners again, I declined his offer. "Oh, no. I shan't cause you any trouble." He smirked again. "No, no. I will. The only thing that would cause me trouble is to think of leaving you here on the streets tonight. " He then stuck out his hand for a passing yellow and black striped taxi. I blushed and stepped inside with him. "Thank you!" I smiled at him. "My pleasure... " "Oh! Oakley. Charlotte Oakley." I smiled at him and he suddenly got out a piece of paper. "Here, Charlotte. Write to me." As he passed it over to me I saw an address scribbled neatly on the front. I nodded politely, not showing the excitement. "Unless... You don't have to!" He exclaimed, suddenly looking shy. This time, I smirked. "No, of course not... ?" "Oh I'm terribly sorry! I'm Henry Clark... when is your stop?" he said kindly, moving his hair out of his eyes to take a look at me. "I think my stop is not far, maybe a few stops away?" He nodded, still smiling at me. Well, this is my stop... Nice to meet you Charlotte!" Then, he was gone. i hope you liked this first chapter and i can't wait to write the next chapters!
