We are nationally pretty disappointed that we failed to qualify for the world cup, but footballing infrastructure in Ossetia was minimal and the national team was playing its first match since 2021. So, to get things started, we established the Ossetian Premier League and the Ossetian Football Federation (OFF) to overlook all football-related matters. We built a national stadium, actually the first stadium within our borders anyway, at New Tbilisi, the Ossetion Arena (Capacity roughly 30,000). We also began to find other ways to improve national football; we made school football leagues and football courses at school for anyone willing to take them. We have set a goal for the national team and that is to qualify for the AFC Asian Cup. The Ossetian Premier League is contested over a double round robin. In the first season that ran from 2026-2027 Alania Vladikavkaz dominated and won an easy first place. Shield and Independent were the next best teams to compete, and only with a Shield victory in a match between the two was the victor decided. No team outside the top 3 teams were a major problem; they all got a negative goal difference. Alania Vladikavkaz and Shield of Ossetia, being the first two, qualified for the AFC Challenge League, some sort of AFC Conference League. No team was relegated as only these official teams existed, though work had began on a secondary division. The MVP of the first season was none other than midfielder Radion Vazagov, who scored 14 of Alania Vladikavkaz's goals.
