It’s interesting the way our vocals ended up combining, they’re very different but they represent the song well. From Simon: the song theming is meant to overexaggerate to shock the listener a bit, and concrete towers as far as the eye can see is already big cities like New York and such, which is called the "concrete jungle". It's not portraying as nature or nurture as a bad thing, but as the fact that we cannot have one while having a total of the other, which is what the bridge is about.
