(I do NOT support Cole The Geek or his actions at ALL. I just really liked the show and loved its characters. Fireball and Pound are lowk special to me, I love them sm... :,D) Okay, so I finished chapter 2 for my firepound fanfic wth?? I lowk never thought I would finish the first chapter, but here I am! Idk how many chapters I'll do of this thing lol, but I'm just glad to have finished another one of my writing! >;3 Here's the first chapter: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1304473593 Took some inspiration off of this amazing fanfic my friend made as a sequel to the first chapter aa!! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1305943896 Notes: Pound and Princess Hat are honestly an underrated duo tbh, I liked their friendship a lot and I feel like there's could've been... idk, more with them. So in my AU they're both besties. Also looking back on this... I feel like I pumped up Fireball's crush on Pound up a notch lol X3 Guys be honest if my writing is awkward okay? I hope this is as good as the first! :,D Takes place in episode 2! Chapter 2: First walk with you. Pound got up from his bed with a sigh. Today felt rather... uneventful. Despite their challenge. It was just a whole lot of walking and bickering... He couldn't help but still feel kinda upset at Chip Stack for splitting both him and Fireball up, but his annoyance was now directed towards someone new now... Beer Keg. That guy won't leave Princess Hat alone, and gosh he hates it!! He just won't take no for an answer, would he?? Pound wished he could help his friend, but he always found himself frozen whenever he debated on speaking up... “Not like he would even listen, anyway...” He said outloud, getting frustrated just thinking about it. But then he glanced at the time. 8:48:PM That was around the time he took walks at, and with his phone and headphones he took off into the hallway. He could still hear some chitter chattering coming from some of their rooms as he walked past, he tried to be quick as he went down the hall to the elevator. So quick he had almost forgotten something... As the elevator went down, he took a stop higher than his destination. Pound found himself looking at all the numbers on the doors before he had found the right one. “Seems right...” He said as he looked down at the number he wrote down on his phone. Fireball had told him last night. Thinking about it, he could've just texted Fireball to come outside, but he liked doing things in person more. He hesitated for a moment as he stood in front of the door, bringing his paw up he reached out and gently knocked on it... You do NOT know how fast that door had swung open, making the coin flinch before he was met face to face with Fireball. “Pound, hey!” He greeted with unusual enthusiasm, unable to keep a smile at bay as he awkwardly chuckled. Pound smiled back at him, and he couldn't help but be a little amused. The thought of Fireball being so genuinely excited was... really sweet. It was almost like he was waiting for him. “You ready to go?” Pound asked, and he could actively see Fireball become more nervous, sparks flickering tenderly. “Yeah...” He muttered back softy, closing the door behind him. The whole time they were walking together, in the elevator and outside, they were quiet. And now that they were strolling down the street, it felt even more quiet... Pound had his music playing, his paws twiddling his phone as he looked off endlessly into the road. He felt very content. Watching the cars past by, the cold breeze hitting his metal body, and the dreamy sound of his music playing through his headphones. It all just instantly soothed him. Having Fireball by his side didn't feel too awkward if he was being honest, The heat from the flame was warm and cozy, and his more bashful demeanor was certainly a surprise but not unpleasant. He felt like Fireball has gotten... a little softer lately.
“Hey- um... Pound?” He was taken out of thoughts by the very person he was thinking about. “What are ya listening to anyway?” Pound looked back at Fireball and shrugged slightly, feeling a little bit embarrassed for some reason. “Oh, um, just some band I like..” He could clearly notice Fireball taking in the information a little too intensely, making Pound glance away, and thus Fireball did aswell. Okay... Maybe this was a LITTLE bit awkward... “...What band?” The flame spoke up after a moment, still trying to make small talk to break the silence. He sounded genuinely curious though. Pound would hesitate, glancing back at Fireball and watching how the other immediately avoided eye contact. “TV Girl...” Pound mumbled a little shyly, as if he were worried about what Fireball would think. Fireball nodded in acknowledgement, rubbing the back of his flames. “That's cool.” The flame replied, quiet and soft. Yup, he was being awfully mellow, but he quite liked it. They spent a few minutes walking down the sidewalk, and Pound would eventually notice that Fireball was clearly avoiding looking at him... Perhaps something is bothering him too? Though he assumed Fireball would be more aggressive or distant if he was upset. Maybe he was just in a good mood? “Is something on your mind?” He spoke up, and he watched how Fireball jumped a little. “No- just.. glad to be out of that challenage, it was insufferable...” Fireball voice got quieter as he spoke, crossing his arms as he continued to look off to the side. He didn't sound very upset when he said that, and trust me Pound's very much used to Fireball's venting. He was very observant and could tell something seemed... off. Almost as if he was lying? (I actually don't think Fireball even did this episodes challenge lmao-) But he decided not to push it, pretending to not think anything of Fireball's behavior. “Really? I'm scared about how you'll handle the rest of the challenges then.” He teased playfully, making Fireball scoff lightly in response. “Oh come on, I've gotten better!” He said as he glanced over to the coin, watching as the other laughed in response, and Fireball instantly rolled his eyes at that. “Yeah, I think you have...” Pound mumbled with a smile, “...I'm kinda proud of you, ya know.” ...That made the flame go dead silent and his fames suddenly flicker wildly, it was as if you could see him malfunction in real time. He glanced over again before quickly looking away, muttering out an awkward, “Heh- Whatever...” Pound chuckled again, pleased by the reaction he got out of the other. He couldn't help but still find it a little odd, but he pushed those thoughts away. I mean, he could be thinking way too deeply about it. His friend may just be tired... Which- heck- “Shoot!” “Hm?-” He abruptly stopped in his tracks to look down at this phone. Fireball paused too, gazing over the screen to see what Pound stopped for. “It's already midnight- we should probably head back now.” The coin said in a bit of a rush, quickly turning back. He'd completely forgotten how long they've been walking for, it's already been 2 hours! Honestly, it didn't even feel that long, it felt kinda short, but he really enjoyed walking with Fireball... despite how awkward it was... but he wouldn't be against doing it again, and it seemed his friend thought the same. He saw the way Fireball was clearly disappointed, walking silently alongside him. It really did warm his heart, and gosh he wished they could be on the same team again... Heck, this whole walk made him completely forget about Beer Keg, all he could think about was the bright flame beside him... The two quickly made it back, staying silent this time around. The hotel was quiet, the dim lighting making it hard to see if it wasn't for Fireball brightening up the whole area. They quietly traveled into the elevator, and went to Fireball's room first since it was closest. The flame stood by his door, though before he went in for the night, he turned to look at Pound, who was still staring at him with a kind smile, one that make him glow brighter and take up more of the darkness. “...You wanna do this again tomorrow?” Pound suggested, and Fireball nodded with no hesitation, the awkward little smile returning to his face. “Yeah...” He replied lightly, and subtly... his cheeks grew hotter, a neon cyan that stood out against his orangy redish flames. A slight color change that mixed in with the other hues, the flames glowing and swirling so beautifully. Pound barely had time to look at it before they had said their goodnights, and Fireball had shut the door, leaving him to walk to his own room. He stared down at his phone, his thoughts feeling rather calm for once as he went over about everything that happened today... His paw grabbed the handle to his room, and with a light sigh, he entered it with one thought left in his mind I hope I see him again tomorrow.
