Fun Facts! The KP.75 was introduced in late 1943 as a medium tank for muertian tank crews. The name KP.75 stems from the German word for cruiser tank. and Lafayette for its unique fighting style. The gun handling was pretty good, the suspension was extremely smooth, and thus it was good to fire on the move. They were equipped with the powerful m76/2 long 76mm cannon. Reliability was decent, though the turret drive and elevation hydraulics were lackluster at best. Those reliability issues were fixed in 1944. The Lafayette was a very effective vehicle. A decent kill-to-death ratio of 4/1 was achieved in part due to its ability to flank and attack columns to the rear. The KP.75 was retired in mid-1958 after newer designs surpassed it. Overall, it was a good tank. Fast, protected, and well-armed. Layout The Lafayette features a 3-man crew. a driver in the iddle front of the hull, a gunner on the left of the turret. and a commander on the other side. (who also assisted with loading.) The tank carried a radio in the hull next to the driver (operated by commander). And the ready rack was in the back of the turret, it was popular to put ammo on the sides inside. The main ammo storage was in the hull along the lower side.
