“I learned nobody comes to help the kitten when it weeps, and when all hope is lost, they're weak and speechless, Just like sheep!” … LaughTrack was fiddling with a pebble by her nest, but… something about her seemed off. A slip of… melancholy. She watched her hermit crabs scuttle about, and then she sighed. She had left the past behind, but now it was creeping back in. Death. Destiny. It was in her name. Glory. It was in her blood. Strength. It was them. but not her. Laugh…. Well, heh… It was what she was supposed to make others do. Her destiny. To be the clown of UrchinClan? What a joke of a destiny. Laugh didn’t know if she even liked the jokes she made anymore. No, it didn’t matter if she liked her own jokes. The bigger concern was… if /they/ liked her jokes. Chuckles felt forced. Like out of pity. Insults were thrown more often. Laugh just sat there, fiddling with the pebble a few moments more, before she paused. “Hilarity, you can’t climb the den’s walls.” She abandoned the pebble at her nest as she grabbed the hermit crab, turning to the other three, “none of you can climb the walls.” She had to keep pushing through. Soon they’ll see that she truly is the clown of UrchinClan. Circus. She had been thinking about that word she had learned so long ago. Nothing felt wrong with Laugh… but she felt like… there was something she had been missing. Not good jokes, or anything like that… But it had to do with her identity. Female. She-Cat. It still felt right to LaughTrack. But her pronouns… Nothing was wrong, with them either necessarily, nothing there that was, but something was missing from them… And all this thinking about her destiny, about how she needed to think of more ways to fulfill it, got her thinking about the word. Circus. She had learned from a few kittypets what the word meant. A weird thing twolegs had to entertain themselves. Huh… LaughTrack wanted to be entertaining. That… was… her… destiny… As she set the hermit crabs in her nest, she thought a little. Circus. She tried the word on her tongue. Circus. She… liked it. Was that what was missing? …. Circus. ———— Okay so basically LaughTrack goes by She/Her/Circus pronouns now! Yeah.
Thumbnail made on Scratch I got a little lazy :’D so I didn’t draw her accessories … I can’t tell if this thumbnail is too overdramatic for what this actually is tbh lol The quote at the start are lyrics from the song Sacrificial Lamb by RecD and Grace Hartman
