Album: COLORS (2ND DIMENSION) , OUT NOW https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1311435853/ Info on album: Some of you may know this, some of you might not, last year I dropped the album 'COLORS' on Scratch, it was my first album released, I put it together from looking at a bunch of my songs and their meanings and putting them together to make a vignette story, then I made a bunch of other songs for it to complete the story. The reason why I use the word 'vignette' to describe the story is because the album didn't have a very detailed way of storytelling. The main idea of the album was that it was supposed to tell the story through colors, and the emotions that represent those colors. Songs that are in my discography like 'GETALONG' or 'I.AM.MAARCUS.' represented colors like blue and yellow for parts of the story. I liked the premise of the album, and I enjoyed making the songs for it. However, about midway through the process I gained more consciousness of how to write and make music, and I began to not enjoy a big percentage of the songs for the album. A lot of the songs had corny lyrics, bad delivery, and they didn't give you that feeling that both the color of the songs and how music is supposed to feel. However, I already promised the fans that I would drop the album, so I did, I dropped it on my alt account and told them that I would delete it in a couple of weeks or so. As of now, only the songs I somewhat enjoy remain on the platform. Which I am fine with. Ill probably delete this description in a couple of weeks or so cos Ion want people to know of its existence, like its just a myth or something lol. A couple of weeks ago, I decided that I should retry making COLORS, as I still think that the concept is good, and now I can deliver it better then I would have in the past. However, the album will sound fully different: -It will have more different and experimental production -It will have way less songs (The first COLORS was very bloated, this version will only have 6 songs). -Most of the songs were made originally for the album (The only one that isn't will be a first track that was originally planned to be on my last album 'DJ SET 2/21'). -The story will start the same but have a different ending, a bad ending, unlike the first COLORS, which is why I call this version '2ND DIMENSION' because the story is an alternate possibility of the other one. Also... I promise to keep it on the platform FOREVER!!! I Hope you enjoy it when it drops ;) !
