VIRTUAL WORLD FAN CHAPTER . [ looey . ] Looey sighed as he shut the door to his room, and sulked into his bed. It had been months since Cosmo had gone missing, and Looey was getting worried. Also the fact that he hadn’t seen Vee, Sprout, or Shelly in a while. ‘What is going on..?’ Looey stared at his ceiling. A mural was there, painted by Brusha, and half ruined by Tisha trying to clean it. It was of the circus trio, but Tisha had managed to erase himself. So it was just Blot and Yatta. Looey was fine with that; he never liked seeing the depressing balloon animal he was. “Looey?” A voice called as a light tap came from the door. Looey jumped out of his bed and hid his thumbtacks in a drawer before opening the door with a forced smile “Hi, Poppy! What brings you here so… late?” Poppy fixed her bow. “Nothin’, just checking up on my big brother… how are you doing?” ‘Horrible.’ “Fine,” Looey replied, his smile slowly fading. Poppy pushed past him with a huff, and inspected his room. “Did you get rid of your thumbtacks?” Poppy asked sternly. “Yeah,” Looey replied quickly, hurrying over to her. “Looey…” “Okay, okay. They’re in the bottom drawer.” Tears welled up in Poppy’s eyes. “Don’t do it, Looey. It isn’t worth it.” “I know…” Looey sighed as Poppy hugged Looey tightly. Poppy grabbed Looey’s thumbtacks and waved goodbye. But just before Poppy reached for the door, it glitched out of existence. “What the hell-?!” Poppy exclaimed. One by one, the furniture in Looey’s room disappeared, and the walls started to crumble. A crack in the wall was visible, so Looey took the chance and burst through it. Worried, scared voices poured down the halls as Looey dragged Poppy to the nearest exit. Gone. ‘Oh god… what is happening?!’ “Poppy! You okay?” “…Poppy?” Looey no longer had Poppy’s hand in his. ‘It’s like… she glitched out of existence.’ ‘Is the world ending? Or is gardenview collapsing?’ ‘No. It’s something different.’ Looey watched toodles disappear from Rodger’s arms, Tisha crying at where Brusha used to be, Scraps slowly dying by the pressure of a fallen wall on her back, Teagen cowering in fear with a crack in her teacup… Then everything went black. Looey woke up in Astros map, confused on how he got there. As he roamed the halls, he passed a shiny ball that let him see his reflection. Twisted. ‘What? No no no…’ Looey staggered back, staring at his hands. Covered in ichor. ‘How did this happen?!’ He ran and ran, past astrology models and cozy chairs, until he found him. Cosmo. “Cosmo…? Are you alright?!” Looey called as the pastry turned his head. Twistified. ‘Not you too…!’ Looey chocked a sob as he ran in the other direction, but his head started to throb. He placed a hand where the pain was, and felt something embedded in his head. As he struggled to pull it out, bolts of electricity shocked him, until he finally got it out. It was a microchip, titled “SUBJECT LOOEY: VIRTUAL WORLD”. “Virtual world…” Looey finally understood. Where he was living was not real. It was a virtual world for every toon to stay until it malfunctioned and killed off all of them. ‘It was a HOAX.’ Looey stood up again, searching for the nearest sharp corner until he found a model of the sun with sharp edges. Looey took a deep breath, then charged at the model at full speed. Pop!
