@Marica_games's proposal for a grace period for new players/nations: >Every new player, or nation someone switches too, gets a minimum grace period of one week. If he/she feels that more time is needed, they may request a maximum of one month to the Emperor or convince at least two council members that it is justified. Grace periods for nation switching must also be approved by the emperor or two council members to prevent griefing and abuse. >During a grace period, your nation cannot be attacked in any way. But if you attack another nation, player or vacant, or engage in economic warfare, or espionage operations, then you break your grace bubble early and can be attacked.(Kinda like in Roblox shooter games ya know? When you respawn, you have a moment of grace, but once it runs out, or you pull out a weapon, it ends.) >All attacks on a nation under a grace period are automatically voided. If you attack without being aware they had a grace period, you do not get a strike. If you knew they had grace, you can get a strike. [TIME FOR ADJUSTMENT PROPOSALS HAS PASSED. VOTING WILL NOW COMMENCE] This good? If not, you are free to voice problems with it and propose adjustments. Voting will officially begin at 11:00 Pacific time, the few hours before this are for the council members to debate my proposal and make adjustments if needed. Adjustment proposals will be posted in the comments here. To pass, it must have a majority support in the comment chain attached to the proposal comment. Thus allowing a speedy, but well organized way to get consent for adjustments. Unless y'all think this idea is good enough on its own, or if y'all are impatient, I can just dictate which adjustments get in or not :> If you all wish to skip the adjustment stage and start the vote now, reply to the bottom comment. https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1309243106/#comments-541345938 There is a issue tho. Which I guess is not a big deal right now, but would in the future when we get more players. And that is keeping track of these grace periods. But I hope to install a "PU Registration" system. A simple system, a sort of license plate for PU members. Having a ID number, and date of joining, and of course how much time left on the grace period. Players could post this data on their profile, but I'll create a proper automatic project to keep track of everything with a neat player search bar to look up their ID number and grace period or somthin.
In the meantime, since this vote will take a short time to get through, I hereby grant all new players who joined between the 12th of April, to the end of this vote a grace period. It will last until the vote ends, but the basic rules proposed here still apply. If you attack someone, your grace immediately ends. (If you are already in a war, then you also don't get a grace period) This is to prevent ppl from eating up new players before this passes the vote in some wild frenzy(looking at you JH08.... This isn't like the old days anymore, we are sorta trying to reform and make things better for newer players to establish themselves and learn.) Only the council members can vote. I apologize if your a curator and try too without knowing this(happens quite a bit in my experiences) But you can still propose adjustments that the council members can approve in its respective comment chain.
