me and my sister are learning other languages, i’m learning croatian because it’s an important part of my heritage and she’s learning french because it’s practical. you probably don’t understand how funny it is to yell a phrase you barely understand and be replied to with a phrase that you can’t understand but you can vaguely guess. she’ll tell me i’m shaped like a banana and i’ll tell her that i burned her eyes. then we’ll argue but it usually is just a bunch of yes and no and what. then we’ll yell (in this order) FRANCE OUII!! (with a terrible french accent on my part) HRVATSKA DAA!! (i fry my voice so much when i do this) and then laugh because we probably just broke some language barrier
