Hi everyone! Welcome to my very, Very, VERY long traditional art journey since the new year. The first three or four ARE from late December, but everything else is 2026! Enjoy!!! 1. Attempt to draw a husky realistically from December. 2. What we all think a mountain looks like, given all the rather unrealistic art done on the subject. Poetic. Also December. 3. Art req from my lil’ sister. I was going half off a monarch butterfly, half off my imagination. The flower is red columbine. Also December. 4. I did this with oil pastels after seeing a really creative yt short. Never knew that one could draw water brownscale until now. 5. Another art req from lil’ sib. Apparently I was still terrible at headshots at the time. 6. Foxy. You’ll see a lot of these lol. I drew this when my sisters and I were in the kitchen arting for like two hours before bedtime (it was a school night). I think you can see the date for yourself well enough. 7. Very poorly draw wolf. I was mostly working on shading, stylizing, and eye design at the time though. Also, it was at school during an assembly, so it was kind of rushed lol. Mid-January I think. 8. POV: the duck is mad that he get no grapies so he steals all da lemonadie and pours it in the lakie. Art req from my older sister Vernari (not her real gov name, it’s her preferred) this time. 9. I saw @birdsaresocute ‘s rendering tutorial and got some ideas for the eyes. Also testing my anatomy skills to make up for the badly drawn cat in the middle right. 10. A character that used to be in my book but didn’t fit the plot so I got rid of him lol 11. Old lore for a main char in my book, none of which is relevant or true anymore to an extent. 12. This may or may not still become relevant to, like, the second series. Idk. 13. First dragon since literal August. Not bad, given lack of practice and no WoF reference for once. February 11. 14. Random char in my book. The name’s Root. I forgot if he’s important to the new plot. (CONT)
15. Poor kitten. Drawn on Valentine’s Day because I was trying to master the head position. A small bit ironic, I’m aware. 16. Terribly drawn wolfs. What happened to my art here, I have no idea. 17. First design of Autumn. Looks more like a dog in this one. 18. First reference of Autumn. Didn’t add wings till later when I had a small bolt of inspiration. 19. A tree swallow and a dragon with a too-fat snout lol. Niether is that bad however. 20. Badly positioned cat, amazing markings though, absurdly lazy background. 21. Everything from here on out has zero color. Be ready. 22. Um yea. My state is not what I expected it would be. Either you get intense heat and absolutely zero rain, or you get a COMPLETELY RANDOM snowfall mid-April. *glares pointedly out my window* 23. Trying to do an art tut on paper. Failed, naturally. Like there’s literally no way to do it unless you’re really good at exactly copying evey line you make. 24. Wolfie :) Was working on lengthening the muzzle. My grandma says it looks like a fox because wolves are ‘all big and snarly’ but wolves are actually very nice. Imagine your family or your friendsies. Their packs are a lot like that, minus the grounding for not doing the dishes. 25. Goose :3 Didn’t even use a ref for anything other than the beak shape since I know these birbs so well. The water looks almost real IRL, shame my Chromebook is terrible in camera quality. 26. Carolina wren. Had to redo the beak multiple times (can you see the eraser marks?) but I love this one a lot. 27. Ok what is this it is ugly what happened to my style stars help me go away that looks NOTHING like an American robin. Why I even included this is beyond my ability to guess. 28. Gray catbird. Not sure I really need to add the word ‘grayscale’ to this but they do have an orangey red patch under the tail and their feathers are kinda bluish soooo. But anyways I like it especially after that little catastophe back there lol. 29. Trying to figure out a good logo for my book. Ik the erase-marks are obvious, this was a prototype. No I do not have a final logo yet. 30. Flying cat. Was thinking about amberkitty’s Flight series and also trying to figure out how you guys use shapes, of all things, to decide your anatomy. 31. Running cat and more anatomy study. Position’s not the worst but I do feel the neck is maybe too long. 32. Turn your screen to see the vision. I really like this one but I couldn’t figure out the shapes behind it, not really. 33. Trying to figure out how to make several animals one creature for a map TN contest. Scrapped this sketch because nothing is properly scaled but if it was properly scaled and postioned it would look exquisite so here. I don’t believe I ever actually did the TNE lol 34. Autumn flying, pet acorn Crocus riding between her ears (see him?) 35. More Autumn. Vote whether she catches the birb >:D Crocus on the shoulder trying not to fall. Though I assume he’s practiced in hanging on tight given his permanent companion. 36. Test sketch of a custom for ‘s OTA. I highly suggest you join it because the designs are wonderful and yet I am the only one entering after a full month. 37. Anatomy testing myself. You know, I think my traditional art might be better than my digital stuff *cowers in terror at the thought* *vanishes in shame*
