(WIP) If you’re here, you’re most likely wondering: What exactly is the Hive? What’s the deal with all the heads, anyways? Personalities? Well, this project answers all those questions and more! [Table of Contents] 1. What is this thing, anyways? 2. Why are there so many heads? 3. Different Personalities/Residents 4. Why is it here..and where did it come from? 5. will it open this aforementioned shop? ————————————— 1. What is this thing, anyways? The Hive, as you may or may not know, is a huge, hulking mass of different creatures and personalities shoved into one creature. It stands on plantigrade legs, like a giant squirrel, with its top half vaguely resembling an anthropomorphic creature’s. It can have 1-4 heads, depending on which “resident”(more on that later) is awake and functioning. Side note: All heads(save for one)refer to the collective as “we” or “us”. 2. Why are there so many heads? ——— As mentioned above, the Hive can have one head—or up to five! Each head appears when a “resident”—one of the many consciousnesses and personalities of the Amalgamation—is up and active. The heads can be more beastlike, humanoid, or even..human? Though the human heads are rarer seen, there’s always something..wrong with the features(like no face, an extra eye, an extra mouth). They can also be hostile, or not..watch out!
3. List of Residents/Consciousnesses ——— Beast heads: 1. The Curious(it/its): This is the most common of the beast heads, it probably will be busy trying to eat something than make small talk. Takes a doglike form. 2. The Aggressor(wyn/wyns/wynselves, they/them): A counterpart to The Curious. They cannot be active beside their counterpart, or they WILL fight. Be warned. They’re much more aggressive, and will snap at anyone who comes near. Takes a wolf head form. 3. The Shopkeeper(he/they, hare/hares/hareself): The rarest of the Beast heads. They can talk in some semblance of language, and always wants you to buy something of theirs. Takes the form of a jackalope head. ——— Humanoid Heads: 1. The Caretaker(they/them, xey/xem/xeyr): Most common of all the heads. They can talk to you..but probably won’t. Takes a humanoid jackal form. 2. The “Innocent”(it/its, ae/aem/aers): One of the most “lore-relevant” heads of the whole Hive. Ae takes a form of the cherub, often making high, childish remarks or intrusive questions. Something interesting about aem is that ae have wickedly sharp teeth..almost too sharp. Perfect for hunting…. 3. The Greedy(fox/foxself): Takes the form of a humanoid fox. Fox sells alongside The Shopkeeper in their shop, counting the money obsessively. Some may hear these mutterings if they stay after hours…. ——— Human Heads(note, all are rare and barely seen. For a reason.) 1. The Mimic(any/mirror): The most common. They take the form of the thing they are mostly talking to..but with a feature added or removed. Their goal is to absorb said person into the Amalgamation, taking its place. However, no evidence is available to prove this. 2. The Forgotten(he/him): Takes the form of a middle-aged man, with eyes that are either too many or too little. He has no mouth, but the other’s mouths take care of that. It is the most aggressive out of all the heads, and only surfaces during kills or hunts..or specific, special events. victim is never seen being..consumed. Though legend says they will become part of the Hive… ——— 5. will it ever open that shop? Yes, soon. As soon as the Greedy and The Shopkeeper decide to show themselves, anyways…
