He was just a nobody with amazing, gifted, genius friends. They were the ones who were supposed to win, not him. Never in all of eternity would he ever have come close to being comparable to them. But somehow now he was the only one standing among their bloodied lifeless bodies. Their last wish for him to survive and be happy. But how? How? HOW??? How could he ever be happy without them, his friends that could've very much been considered his family? He stood there, drowning in his tears as their souls sailed away from their previous bodies to re-enter the cycle of rebirth. When the last one had disappeared from sight, Evanescence was escorted from The Test arena, his eyes run dry long ago and his mind in turmoil. Nevertheless, he staggered onward, receiving his new title and position as the newest constellation. After he obtained his new position as a constellation, he immediately dedicated himself to helping the mortals who were undergoing The Test after him. But even after hundreds, no, thousands of years of attempting to, he couldn't prevent or lessen their pain and anguish even by a little bit no matter how hard he tried. He was bound from interfering with The Test, they all were. There wasn't a single constellation who could fight back against the current system or the one who was running it all; Nebula, the first constellation and the most powerful. All other constellations and mortals were nothing but pawns on a grand chess board to Nebula. Evanescence was growing tired of everything, of the suffering he helplessly watched, of the arrogance no one could stop. He knew many others were too, so he decided to take a stand. One chance to change everything for the better; to overthrow a tyrant or perish trying to.
So yeah with the cycle of rebirth thing, Evanescence did see his friends' souls every few centuries or so but they didn't remember/recognize him. And his full title is "The Constellation 'Fatewatcher'" or "Constellation Fatewatcher".
