SPOILERS FOR: ALL DANGANRONPA GAMES, DANGANRONPA ZERO, PRETTY MUCH THE WHOLE ANIME !! I love doing this bro... I can't wait to yap about everyone's favorite despair cult (and chiaki)!!! 1. hajimemes hinata - actually hajime but we don't talk about that - reverse course student (which translates to "talentless loser whose parents paid a bunch of money to send him to hope's peak") - no we don't talk about izuru kamukura who is that guy I hate him - doesn't know how many sides an octagon has bru (when you don't have an ultimate detective in your gang everyone is stupid including the MC) - 2x2 gave him a redesign kinda and now his hair looks like a pineapple - has ahoge but he came after makoto naegi so he doesn't matter in life - one of the only people here not part actually part of class 77-B - ultimate orange juice 2. chiaki nanami - can be called an AI girlfriend and a gamer waifu simultaneously because she's both - the REAL chiaki died before junko + 77-B caused mass destruction haha L bozo (junko needed her to plunge her classmates into despair ig apparently ultimate gamer is too useless for destroying stuff) - this version is an AI actually lol (because the real one was dead) - dies IRL, dies as an AI bot (L) - probably never touched grass while developing her talent - nagito gets shot and then she's like ("hey hinata did you get a new haircut???") LMAO (dw the plot gods smiled upon nagito there) - AI version was made by alter ego aka chihiro AI so ah yes an AI made by an AI 3. ultimate imposter/twogami - the second person not actually in the class (so they were at hope's peak but saw ryota overworking as per usual and took care of ryota then impersonated ryota and just went to his class LOL) - byakuya togami superfan apparently - has no name, gender, etc because of course they don't (I'll be referring to imposter using they/them for now) - was impersonating byakuya the entire v2 when they were alive - decided to be the leader of the group and tried to make sure no one died but teruteru and nagito ruined that - died too early imo - friends with ryota as you could probably tell 4. teruteru hanamura - creep (he's actually the ultimate chef but it's more like the ultimate creep) man stop being freaky - died in chapter 1 bc he killed twogami (everyone cancel him) and honestly if he didn't he might have became miu v2 (I don't like miu so that's good) - tried to kill nagito but nagito had too much plot armor so he killed twogami instead - I feel bad for his VA said VA has to voice this dude AND korekiyo - has a goofy accent which is really the only thing good about his character - 2x2 if this guy survives longer than ch1 please give him character development at least I was genuinely happy when he died so 5. mahiru koizumi - the sanest person here ngl - involved in a murder case (so natsumi aka fuyuhiko's sister was threatening to kill her, her friend killed natsumi, fuyuhiko killed sato aka her friend) - so the motive in ch2 was about this and fuyuhiko figured it out and wanted to murder her (man fuyuhiko stop murdering ppl) but peko said "no" and killed her instead - hiyoko's only friend pretty much - can take photos. yes that's her talent. idk how that was useful enough for junko to jam her in with the other ultimate despairs but idk - believes in gender roles because she spent like a lot of time taking care of her (sick) father but wanted to like travel and take photos n all that - also needs character development 6. peko pekoyama - she is NOT hungry for mountains guys - ultimate swordswoman so she can use sword - battled mukuro once and lost because mukuro is just yoked - so uh. she was kind of an orphan but got picked up by a bunch of gangsters and was eventually raised and trained to be the bodyguard and hitwoman of the gang's future leader fuyuhiko (I keep having to mention this lil bro he's everywhere :skull:) - sees herself as fuyuhiko's tool but lil bro doesn't agree with that lol - very interesting character but just like twogami she died way too soon - pretends to be emo and not want to be social with ppl but she actually kinda is willing to lolz 7. hiyoko saionji - japanese regina george - bullies everyone except for mahiru because mahiru's just like that - short ahh (but she gets a growth spur and I like her post growth spur design more) - ultimate traditional dancer but she's actually the ultimate bully - I think she's gonna explode if she does modern dancing idk just a theory - likes gummies but hates lemon flavored ones (that's illegal in my dictionary) - tried to become a better person after mahiru died but then spike pulled a taka and killed her BRO - again idk how she spread despair. somehow ig (apparently she held despair concerts with ibuki but idk how that would work) (cont. in desc)
8. ibuki mioda - the goat - scenekid - likes rock music and can DESTROY eardrums it's canon - does a gonta and speaks in 3rd person sometime - needs lore spike chunsoft please bless us with ibuki content goofy lookin sprites - my fav character shh don't tell anyone - I don't believe that she DIDN'T bash at least one person's head in using that guitar as a despair - got killed too early she's too peak she should have lived longer 9. mikan tsumiki - the walking definition of fanservice - is a very interesting character but too bad she's fanservice instead - junko enoshima simp HELP - killed ibuki for junko - then killed hiyoko bc she was a witness - has trauma - has like the WORST execution in the whole series man every fanmade execution of mikan I've ever seen are better than the real one (at least the music is fire tho) 10. nekomaru nidai - so akane kinda tried to beat the flip outta monokuma (she was inspired by mondo trust) so monokuma tried to kill her but this guy said "no", tanked the hit, and became a clanker later to survive - then he died half a chapter later because chapter 4 frowns upon tall people - has a heart condition loll (danganronpa v2 sure does like characters with conditions) - has like no fans (I've seen more teruteru fans than fans of this dude HELP) - I think he's trying to be funny but failing ngl 11. gundham tanaka - killed nekomaru using the power of hampter - has hamsters (he calls them the four dark devas of destruction LOL) - ultimate breeder (someone gotta change the english version man that sounds so weird out of context) - peak character ngl - talks really interestingly I can quote a random quote this dude says and it'd probably be funny - celestia ludenberg of v2 aka emo ahh outfit - villain persona just like celestia LOL - reason for killing nekomaru is because "giving up on life is a disgrace) - goofy sounding laugh - autistic I think - lost eyebrow privileges LOL - kind of an edgelord 12. sonia nevermind - princess of novoselic - was BORN into her talent bro (she's the ultimate princess) - theoretically if she became queen would she be called the ultimate queen - likes horror stuff and serial killers and the occult - kinda likes gundham - was really surprised when gundham lowk went "yeah I killed nekomaru" - chill and kinda sane - knows how to fight n stuff - as an ult despair kinda turned her kingdom into a military thing and made ppl fight for despair and killed a bunch of citizens (wow what a good leader!!!) 13. kazuichi soda - had to put him here bc trio - his lore was that his family was broke ahh so he had to help run a bike shop then picked up mechanical stuff and eventually became ultimate mechanic - family so ahh that their surname is carbonated water - had like one friend but said friend ghosted him womp womp - has zero social skills - actually decently smart I think - tries to be cool but fails - #1 sonia simp - kind of a loser - also needs character development but only kinda 14. fuyuhiko kuzuryu - I finally got to this guy bro - short king - unlike 99.9% of others here, got hit with the character development beam (wow!!!) - swore a lot before peko died (almost enough to put mondo and miu to shame) but then became a changed man and stopped - replaced his eye with junko's I think bro why would you nerf yourself like that - if he didn't exist gundham probably would have won that class trial tbh - mafia man - being a gangster is a talent apparently - haha dead sister - yasuhiro owes a lotta cash to him - has the same va as kokichi oma which is crazyy 15. akane owari - desperately in need of character development her most interesting arc was when she crashed out on gundham - also needs a redesign lol - likes food - her lore is that she and her family was more broke than kazuichi and she had a million siblings (like byakuya lol) and had to like take care of them by getting food in various ways and fighting. and also some dude offered to train her in gymnastics for free so she's the ultimate gymnast (v2 also likes poor families apparently) - trains with nekomaru lol - she should meet sakura ngl 16. nagito(e) komaeda - antagonist of v2 - has like cancer and a type of dementia - hope addict and likes hope and stuff - crazy (as in, crazier than everyone else here) - ultimate lucky student (makoto wannabe) but doesn't consider himself an ultimate LOL - simps for hajime I think (v2 just loves simps) - accidentally sus in every class trial - used magic luck to make chiaki throw a fire grenade during his ykwhat so she was technically the blackened and no one would know so the others would vote wrong and die (because chiaki is the only non ult. despair but little did he know she was already dead) - as an ultimate despair lowk just spread despair he's such a hypocrite - has a goofy evil laugh just like gundham lol - CANNOT stop making jabs to hajime about being a reverse course student (he's the real ultimate bully)
