Every Day. Every Day. A bit of plastic is tossed into the ocean. A bug is ruthlessly stomped. A hen's children are taken from her. A tiger is escaping from hunters. We have shaped the world in many ways. If you take a close look at our world you will see the faults. You will see the evil in our city. Have you ever thought about what was before, before your city was made. Was it a forest? was it a meadow? I can gladly go over the stats that I've memorized, but that would go over your head. The prarie covered 50% of north America. Now it's just a small spot in the U.S. There are so many extinct animals. Dodo birds, Tasmanian tigers, golden poison frogs, the javan tiger, the yangut somthing turtle. I did not look these up. I remembered them. 60% of drivers intentionally take a path on the highway to drive over a snake or turtle. Most people see animals and think that we are better. They don't think that animals are worth to be in out place. They smash spiders and ants that come in their home. They call them pests and invaders. Then answer me this question : Who cut the forests and replaced them with cement? Who makes things to attack the same species? Who attacks different people of the same species because they all believe in something different? Humans. Humans. Humans. When you see a spider in your house take it with care an move it out. Most people are fine with helping koalas or pandas.. those are easy to tell people about. People WANT to help them. What about snakes. Frogs. Lizards. Turtles. Spiders. Cockroaches. Pigeons. Ever SINGLE animal named in this page I will take care of. Every single animal has a myth attached to it. The black widow is not a widow(most of the time). Bulls used by matadors can't see red. Toads don't cause warts. Owls can rotate their heads only 270 degrees, not 360. Crows and Ravens do not bring bad luck, neither do black cats. Crows and Ravens are the smartest creatures you will ever see in the air. We seperate animals and people every day. It has been ingrained in our mind. Most people think humans are better. Cockroaches were here before us. We came later. Humans are also animals. Humans have power- instead they use it to build thing made for attacking humans. There are many stray cats in my community. They are persecuted by half the dog owners in my community. 30% of the world's air goes to trees. we cut them down. 70% of the world's air goes to oceans. we toss trash in them. There are animals everywhere. Everywhere. Just pause and look around you. A fly. A spider. A bird. they are everywhere. They are crying for help. Everybody does things on Earth day. What about the other days? What about every single day where people hurt animals. Most people look at animals and feel nothing. I feel something. Every day is earth day - Fog, animal lover
