———————————Intro———————————— Blaze the Cat is the deuteragonist of Silver the Hedgehog and the second playable character. This project is intended to help get you familiar with this character, and what direction I’m taking her two and a half years later. ————Appearance, Personality, and Powers———— Blaze’s original design had her with spiky, vertical hair and an iconic dress with a short tail and a jewel on her forehead. This redesign switches up her clothing entirely, replacing it with a simple tube top dress with flame patterns, sporting a large golden skirt and baggy leggings. Largely inspired by the Metal Apocalypse AU fan design, she also has extended, more realistic hair and a much longer tail, plus a necklace worn by the protectors of the Sol Dimension. Blaze is reserved, calm, and collected. She might come across as stern and unmoving, but she is more than willing to help those in need, and is fiercely loyal to her kingdom and friends. As her name implies, Blaze is capable of creating and controlling flames. She herself is immune to them, and can manipulate them to boost her however she needs. Like Silver and Marine, she is also a skilled Martial Artist and combatant. ———————————History——————————— Blaze debuted in 2005 game Sonic Rush as a stubborn, isolated princess from another dimension, who arrived in Sonic’s world to stop her version of Eggman from teaming up with Sonic’s and taking over the world. She also befriended Cream, and learned to let her guard down and actually have friends. She would later appear in Sonic 06 as Silver’s best friend, but also retconned everything about her character (we don’t have to discuss this cause, you know, 06 be noncanon). Her last major appearance was the sequel Sonic Rush Adventure, where she met Marine the Raccoon, who became her closest friend in her own dimension. The IDW comics and minor appearances later on cemented her friendship with Silver, and she has been appearing in minor roles ever since. In this timeline, Blaze has already turned 16 and became empress of her kingdom. The responsibilities have increased, and she has become a bit more stern and reserved, with only Marine and occasional visits to Sonic’s dimension keeping her company.
